Purchase: Purchased from local dealer in Baltimore, MD. A friend purchased it and I could not believe how much further he was hitting the ball. I went to the shop and got on the launch monitor with my driver and then tried the Alpha head with the same shaft and picked up 12 yards. Then after finding a shaft to match my swing (Fujikura Tour Platform, 27.3 X-stiff)...I then picked up an additional 13 yards. 25 yards for $315 -Fair enough.
Pros: I have never felt that much "rebound" on a USGA approved driver. You can feel the ball just explode off of the face. It is impressive. I have an Index of 1.7 and have always been sort of a traditionalist and a little skeptical about such significant yardage gains...not to be a dork but I am a believer. This club is silly long.
Cons: That I didn't find it sooner - Alpha should be advertising this thing to the hilt...It is the real deal.
Quality: Solid - This is no joke...My friend who turned me onto this club cracked the faces of TWO (2) 983's within three months (yes he is a big dude and very very long), he has been hitting this club almost daily on the range in late winiter / early spring temps and has had no problems.

Review Summary: I have always played the latest and greatest each year...Titleist, Mizuno, Taylor Made, etc...I have never seen a change this dramatic. You can literally buy distance with this club. Just do yourself a tremendous favor and get fitted for the right shaft. As I said - I picked up 12 yards from the head but I got another 13 from the installing the proper shaft for my swing.
