Purchase: I got my Eclipse from directly from Aserta for 149.00 it was a DEMO model.
Pros: Its well ballanced. Quality compnents and assembly. It feels great at impact.
Cons: I really like everthing about this putter!
Quality: Outstanding quality and a great Head Cover!

Review Summary: I started putting the Aserta Eclipse center shafted putter about three weeks ago! I had tried the “roll face” technologies in the past and found it very inconsistent when it came to lagging. I think this is because the technology is built into the face of the putter. If ball placement changes or if your hands “drift” from putt to putt… well it changes the way the putter face strikes the ball creating an inconsistent roll. I DON’T have a perfect putting stroke but it’s manageable. The Eclipse IVM technology is more about weight distribution! It keeps a majority of weight in the putter head located above the equator of the golf ball. In my opinion this creates a more consistent roll even with minor flaws in the putting stroke. Because the weight is always above the equator of the ball even if the ball placement is a little forward or back in the stance. The same holds true if your hands drift or creep a little, my hands have a tendency to “forward press” a little on longer putts. Professional golfers have been doing this for years Nick Faldo in his prime would hover his putter to strike the top half of the ball, Jack Nicklaus did the same thing…but Jack hovered every club in the bag! How does it work? At first for me I had to dial it in I was bouncing balls off the back of the cup, and I was miss reading putts. Better roll means LESS break! It was hard at first to make the adjustment, but with in a few hours on a diverse practice green I felt dialed in pretty well. I try to play 18 holes 2 to 3 times a week I track Fairways, Greens, and number of putts for every hole. Here is what I have seen, my 1-putts have gone up from 2 to 4.5 per round. My 3-putts have dropped from 3 to 1 per round. My scores have dropped from low 80’s to high 70’s. Breaking 80 consistently was a BIG step for me! This putter feels really good at impact almost buttery I can’t explain it any better than that! I recommend this putter if you are looking to take advantage of “Roll Technology” the IVM approach is much more forgiving to minor stroke flaws. This putter is NOT a panacea for a bad stroke! But it has helped me take my game to the next level! Hit M straight! Shive
