Details: Mellow Yellow 9* w/ a 47' Accuflex VS339 used off 300yards.com for 90 bucks. The shaft had some damage to it that wasn't in the info/detail report so I called 300yards about it and they are sending me a brand new shaft (same one) for free. Great service! 9*

Purchase: So I am looking into the LDA and was trying to find a good club to start off that wasn't too expensive. 300yards.com hook me up with this used MY for 90 bucks with a pretty nice shaft. I was researching a millions freakin clubs so for 90 bucks I figured what the h*ll.
Pros: When I first hit with this club I couldn't hit crap. I probably hit about 50 balls and really wasn't getting anymore distance than my regular driver (P2G, Awesome club). Then I went back to the range tonight (4 hours after my first try) and still couldn't hit all that well UNTIL I step back another 2-3 inches and played the ball much further up in my stance. I normally don't hit off my left heel but with this one it's the heel or more. You wouldn't believe the results, HOLD CRAP!!! Man can I crush em with this club. The end of the range is about 310 yards which I could fly with my P2G but with the MY the ball would barely start coming down at the fence line. I'm not sure exactly how far it is and I'm sceptical to say cuz they always seem further than they really are but atleast 25-30 yards further. I love how people say this is an attention getter and my first time at the rang eand sure enough, this guy sees me crushing them out of the range and asks, 'what is that club' followed by 'I've never seen anyone hit that far in my life' and 'That's got to be pushing 400 yards!' My dad can't hit my P2G very very but with the Mellow Yellow he averages about 60 yards more and ALOT more accuracy. BUY THIS CLUB! The ball just jumps off this club face, it's amazing. You just have to get used to it. I must have skyied about 20 balls, still going 250, but now if I really connected good the ball will just carry into the darkness (I hit at night)!
Cons: The only thing is the shaft is so long, my feet are practically off the mats at the range, LOL! Kinda akward but a small price to pay to fly balls 300+ easily and I mean EASILY!
Quality: Great material, sweet looking club that turns the heads. When I'm at the range I want people to say, Holy crap is the kid hitting those balls far and the bright yellow head definately grabs their attention.

Review Summary: LONGGGG, STRAIGHTTTT, CHEAPPPP!!!! What more do I need to say? Great club, I just order the Bang O Matic 460 7.5* with a Harrison 2.5 pro FL 50 XX Flex so I will report how that one compares.

Purchase: I got it at golf-components.com for $150 with headcover, after reading many good reviews.
Pros: I'm 15 and small, 5'7 120lbs. Before I'd seen the light I could only drive about 180-200yds consistantly. This was using a cheap driver that came in a whole set of begginer clubs. Now I just went to the range today and was hitting about 230-260yds (A year of growth and working out may have helped a bit.)consistantly. This is the coolest looking club also. Combined with a Harrison clasic lite low launch shaft my drives are much more consistant and the sound it makes is amazing. Another thing which is probably my favorite is the yellow color and polished face combined with a yellow shaft. (Probably because I'm 15 other may not find it so appealing.). It gave me so many comments when i went to try out for the school golf team. :)
Cons: The polished face gets a little scracthed but can usually be cleaned. I guess it's just more noticably because it's so shiny. Also the paint gets scratched easily. (Again every scratch and nick is more noticable on a yellow head.)
Quality: Top notch. So far there's nothing serious except the paint but i expected that.

Review Summary: Coolest driver i've ever seen and gave me incredible distance and sound. Also fun to hear comments about it. I don't regret my buy and would reccomend it to anyone looking to get increased distance and greater accuracy. I'm hooked. Now all I need to get is a Mellow Yellow bag, 3 and 5 wood, iron set,hat and the rest of the head covers. Only if Bang made Mellow Yellow balls too.

Purchase: I bought my BANG Mellow Yellow 420 club head off of the internet and my Fujikra shaft from our local pro shop and driving range. I intend to play on the Remax LDA tour this year. I have $145.00 invested in this AWESOME club.
Pros: EVERYTHING! The club head is light and fast. The bold yellow color draws attention very fast and the sound it makes, attracts even more attention. This club in association with the awesome Fujikra shaft is incredible. The ball just EXPLODES off the tee. I can put all I have into it and still hit it straight down the middle 70-80% of the time. I don't know exactly how far I can hit the ball with the club because our local driving range is only 340 yards deep. All I can say is that I have NO PROBLEM clearing the top of the trees that line the back of the range. The Mellow Yellow is LOOOOONG. If you cant clear at least 250 yards with this club than you need to take up bowling or something other than golf. I just started playing about 2 months ago and my handy cap on the course... I dont know if I can even count that high. I am 6 feet tall and weigh about 240 lbs so that helps a little. However, if I can hit a ball this far consistantly than any body can. Thanks BANG for such an AWESOME club!
Cons: The only complaint I have about this club is that I spend half of my training time telling other people about the club. When they hear me hit and see how far the ball(repeatedly) goes, they become very interested in what kind of club I am using. If you want to be left alone at the driving range DO NOT BUY A BANG MELLOW YELLOW! If your looking to kick some serious butt... Well you know what to do! BUY ONE!
Quality: Awesome construction and GREAT warranty. I did break the top of the face with a bad sky ball(my fault) and BANG gladly replaced the club head at no charge to me. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Also, like another person stated, the face IS like contact tape. You can see exactly where you hit the ball on the face everytime you hit. This is VERY handy when training for the LDA. GREAT club especially for the price!

Review Summary: If you want to go loooooong forget all the other clubs that cost $300.00-$600.00. Buy a BANG and watch those guys cry when you kick their sorry butts off of the tee!

Purchase: I paid $75 from my local golf shop for the head. I purchased it after my Bang SF360 Cracked at the lower front weld lines.
Pros: I like the chrome face that bang incorporates into its drivers. It greatly decreses spin, allowing me to swing harder.
Cons: I did not particularly care for this club. I got the 6 degree, which was on a whippy demo shaft. I was convinced that the 'dead feel' and cuts were because of the shaft. After having the head put onto a Graphite Design YS-9 it still felt dead, and right. Granted my swing speed is only about 135, perhaps too low for a 6 Degree 400+ driver. The real problem was after roughly a round and half a bucket of range balls, the face shattered. I hit a dead looking draw, reached down to whipe the grass off the face and punctured my thumb almost clean through. I have yet to hear back from bang on either of the two drivers I have broken merely a weak apart.
Quality: I hit less than 100 balls with the MY 420 and the face shattered. The paint is thick, and the chrom appears to be high quality, but again, it broke doing what it was made to do.

Review Summary: The bottom line is that it is frustrating to pay to get a club shafted, break the head, order another, break the head, order another (yes sometimes im naive) and am currently waiting for the head to be put on my shaft. The price, though starting nice, is slowly nickel and diming me to death, at 25 dollars a pop to replace the grip, and have it re-mounted. The future only knows if bang will follow through on their above remarks of it being under warranty. The problem is the 'local' clubmakers seem to want nothing to do with 'sending it back'. I am giving this a 4, only because the Bang SF360 I previously owned was a 5, making me believe perhaps I just got a lemon (it was yellow after all)

Purchase: I was looking for drivers on ebay and ran across some bang club's so i checked out the site and also read some review's on here and decide and getting a couple different one's.
Pros: I love the quality and the bright yellow color it's a deffinite atention getter
Cons: What's not to like
Quality: It's great! the deffinite best for component clubs.

Review Summary: Every one needs to put some noise in there game!

Purchase: Purchased the club on Ebay for $126.00 because I have a friend who has one and he absolutely loves it.
Pros: First of all just looking at the club screams style, which helps make up for my golf game a little. I usually drive about 240 yds, but with this I avg about 270-280 yds. My accuracy has also improved with the MY 420.
Cons: The only thing I could possibly say I don't like it is that Bang will probably come out with a MY 420 2 and I'll end up shellin out the money because for the $ Bang delivers.
Quality: The club was beautifuly constructed with a Harrison Striper shaft and a Tan winn wrap. Excellent quality.

Review Summary: As far as I'm concerned don't waste your money on those 300-400 dollar drivers when you can get quality performance for much less from Bang.

Purchase: brought the mellow yellow because of the great reviews i read here. purchased the club from a local dealer for 75 canadian. put the club together my self with a tubes shaft tipped firm and winns grip. total cost 135 canadian. ps also got the head cover in the price
Pros: went to the range after i put the club together and hit it 260 yds. that was 40 yards longer than my old ping driver. love the yellow color.
Cons: the yellow head is hard too hide which makes it a attention getter.
Quality: put the club together my self at 45. bang knows how to make a great driver. constructed with the best material witch will last a long time.i just want to say

Review Summary: i just want want to say if you want a club that is long of the tee then the mellow yellow is that club. plus the club will not break your bank account like the brand names will.

Purchase: I am sorry as I do not know where else to put this. After looking over several reviews I saw one from a Long Driver reviewing the MY 420. He stated that it broke in the face and that it was not under warranty! Bang warranties ALL Bang products and if he would send it directly back to where he purchased I would be glad to replace immediately! Inasmuch as not standing up to his swing speed - 9 Long Drivers were using this product in the Re/Max Long Drive Championships without a single head breaking in the Finals! Any manufacturer will experience breakage in golf clubs when LDers with clubhead speed in the 150+ catagory! I might also add that 51 Finalists were using Bang heads at the Finals! Thank you Steve at Bang!

Purchase: I saw the club in Golf Digest magazine and was intrigued to buy it. I paid only $189.00 for it which was an incredible deal considering its performance.
Pros: This club is ultimately the best one I have hit out of even the best names in golf(Callaway, Taylormade, Titleist, and Ping.) I was booming the ball off the tee with an average of 20 yards more, 250 with a high of 275. In the past 2 weeks that I have enjoyed this club, maybe 5 strokes were eliminated from my handicap. That's a major boost to my ego. -14 handicap, I use to be a 21!!
Cons: Perhaps the only down about this club is that it is bright yellow making it an attention getter.
Quality: I bought it standard. It came with a Winn grip and a Harrison Striper shaft. Overall, this was a pretty light club. The shaft was 45 inches long. Great constructed club with a spotless finish. So far the clubhead is holding up without a scratch.

Review Summary: The Bang Golg Mellow Yellow is nearly a flawless club. I would highly recommend it to any level of handicap! Its huge 420cc head means that you can't really have a bad shot. With this club, you can swing as hard as you are capable of without loosing accuracy. This driver is a must have if you want to improve your game.

Purchase: My dad is a clubmaker and I asked him if he had ever heard of Bang Golf before. I'm starting to get into the long drive scene and I had heard lots of good things about Bang. He made a few calls and now Bang is one of his best sellers. I demoed one of his Mellow Yellows with a Fujikura stiff shaft.
Pros: First off I love the look of the club. The color is so bright it gets attention right away. It feels and sounds solid at impact. I have a tendency to hook when I mishit and this club all but cancels that out. Plus I like the fact the the face isnt a foot tall. I have to tee it high but not anywhere near as high as I do with my other deep face long drive club. Speaking of the other club. I was hitting it 350 regularly with a 48.5"XX Stiff shaft in it. I hit the Mellow Yellow farther with a 45.5 inch shaft if that tells you anything.
Cons: My dad is selling so many of these that they won't be "unique" for too long. Not in the Fresno, Ca area anyways. J&L Golf 559-275-3117
Quality: The finish is spotless. Reminds me of a hot rod. The sole of the club combines paint, sandblasted and polished surfaces in a smooth flowing style that shows alot of attention to detail and quality assurance.

Review Summary: Great club. I cannot wait to start the qualifying season again. I will be hitting the Mellow Yellow and one or 2 more Bang products.
