Purchase: I stole this set of Hogan CFT's on Ebay for $230.00. I had never played these clubs and tried them out of curiosity.
Pros: The heads look like a blade at address even though they are a low cavity back. You feel nothing when the ball is well struck. Mishits provide immediate feedback.
Cons: The Apex shafts that come on the clubs are stiffer than other shafts and a little hard to play. Regular flex is more like a stiff flex. The face seems to wear rather quickly, though it seems to be just the finish and doesn't interfere with playability.
Quality: Hogan quality - what else can you say.

Review Summary: I removed the Apex shafts that came on the clubs and replaced them with True Temper Dynamic Gold Lite steel shafts. The difference was astronomical. The Apex regular flex shaft is similar to a stiff shaft in another brand. The new shafts made the CFT's the best clubs I have ever hit - PERIOD! I am now playing to a six handicap. Remember, shafts are almost more important than the club head. My rating is AFTER changing the shafts.
