Purchase: I purchased this set from a private party for $100.00. This is a pretty rare set so I was pleased to get this 2-sw set at a great price.
Pros: I am very happy that they are made with beryllium copper which no longer used to make iron heads (some EPA issue during it's production. They provide a softer feel like the Cleveland becu wedges. I also like the extra wide soles which give the irons more sole weighting and gets the ball up quickly. I see that alot of new models are using this idea...taylormade rac ht, ping g2 hl, and callaway big bertha. I can actually hit a 2 iron now.
Cons: Since these are older irons (85-86) it is hard to find the copper irons. I'd like to get a matching 1 iron and lob wedge.
Quality: These Magnum irons have the original graphite shafts that seem to have a mid kick point. I may update them to some newer technology someday. The heads have developed a rich patina. I get alot of admiring glances and comments about these clubs.

Review Summary: I'm the kind of person that has gone through at least 20 different sets of clubs. I've owned callaway, ping, lynx, taylor made, maruman, and daiwa among others. In fact, I still have some of them. But my "real" clubs are the Hogan Copper Magnums. Why? Because I get the most distance, control, and accuracy with them......which all comes down to confidence. They are very forgiving even on fat shots. I wish I could fine another set.
