Purchase: Have played Hogan irons for a number of years and needed a 'gap' wedge between my equalizer (Hogan name for pitching wedge) and my Hogan 6004 lob wedge. I went to the golf discount house where I purchased my Hogan iron set and ordered a matching fairway wedge. Hogan calls it the 'F' wedge. The cost of the club was $100 dropped shipped to my house.
Pros: The are four numbers on the club (5208) and the first two (52) represent the loft (degress) and the second two (08) represent the bounce of the club. This club is a typical Hogan forged club with soft feel and tremendous feedback. This club produces great spin from full fairway shots and for pitch and run shots around the green. Not much offset which allows for easy alignment and shot making. This club is very consitent and with its smaller bounce provides the ability to hit off of tight lies. Fills the gap perfectly between the Hogan lob and equalizer irons.
Cons: Most short irons are difficult to maneuver. The Hogan seems much easier to draw than fade.
Quality: Well constructed with a high quality finish and detail which is typical of Hogan irons. I wanted the club 2 degrees flat and when it arrived the golf pro tested the club and it was set a the correct loft and flatness.

Review Summary: A great short iron for filling the gap between the lob and pitching wedge. Nicely designed for making shots from the fairway or rough. Tremendous spin produced for ultimate stopping power.
