Pros: THE BEST WEDGES I HAVE EVER PLAYED... BAR NONE. SO WORKABLE I AM AMAZED. EVERYTIME I PLAY I LEARN SOMETHING NEW ABOUT BEING CREATIVE AROUND THE GREEN, ALL BECAUSE OF A 56 DEGREE WEDGE. I HAVE NEVER,EVER GOTTEN A BALL TO STOP LIKE IT DOES NOW. I ALWAYS THOUGHT I WAS PRETTY GOOD FROM AREAS
AROUND THE GREEN. AND BEING A GOOD PUTTER ENABLES ME TO SCRAMBLE FOR SCORE A LOT. BUT KNOW I AM REALLY CONFIDENT ABOUT IT. AND EVERY NEW SHOT I LEARN IS GREATLY APPRECIATED AND FILED IN MY MEMORY BANK.
I HIT THE 56 FROM JUST INSIDE 100 YARDS WITH A FULL SWING THE ACTION ON THE BALL IS SOMETHING ELSE. GREAT FOR PITCHING TOO.
CONTROL IS THE NORM. GOT A BAD RESULT ? IT IS NOT THE CLUB. AND THE WEAR PATTERN ON THE BLACK CHROME IS COOL. A LITTLE TRIANGLE
STARTING AT THE BOTTOM AND ENDING IN THE CENTER OF THE FACE. ON THE 19 HOLE HAVING A COLD ONE I ALWAYS SEE SOMEONE STOP AT THE BAGSTAND THROUGH THE WINDOW CHECKING MY GEAR [ALL HOGAN-BEAUTIFUL STUFF].NEVER FAIL.. THE 56 IS ALWAYS THE ONE THEY SORTA LIFT AND SPIN AROUND. THAT STICK SENDS A MESSAGE NO DOUBT. [ I BOUGHT COVERS SINCE THEN BUT MORE TO PROTECT FROM BAG CHATTER.]
THE 60 IS A NEW TWIST FOR ME. ALWAYS A WEAK SPOT THE FLOP WEDGE. I'VE TRIED A DOZEN OR SO 60-64 LOFT. THIS ONE IS THE FIRST TO SHOW REAL PROMISE. A FULL SWING IS 40-60 YARDS DEPENDING ON MY SET UP. GREENSIDE BUNKER PLAY IS A LOT BETTER WITH MR. HOGAN TOO. POP!STOP! IT'S THOSE LITTLE TOUCHY FEELIE FLOP SHOTS. THOSE ARE TOUGH FOR ME. BUT I'M FEELING BETTER ABOUT IT....

Details: This is the black chrome, 56.12 wedge, steel, regular(or 'wedge') flex.
Purchase: I bought this wedge in a big golf superstore in Los Angeles for $89.99 brand new. I chose it for the looks (it's cool lookiing) and the weight is great. I demo-ed all the 'big name' brands and this one has a slightly heavier feel which is really stable...and appealing.
Pros: Everything. First of all, the looks are great. The black chrome finish (which will wear off on the sole eventually) is so cool. I like the 12* of bounce and the stock grip is a nice one. The craftsmanship of this has me considering buying all Ben Hogan stuff as I re-evaluate my equipment from time to time. Solid as a rock. You feel it well, and it's totally forgiving too. Good stuff. I hit nice shots from all lies and it is great (!) in the sand. I like it from the fairway too. It glides through rough.
Cons: Just that the chrome shine wears off the sole. But I expected as much, being that it's a shiny finish, and black chrome in sand...you get the idea. That's it.
Quality: Awesome. Well-built and gorgeous. As high in quality as anything I've got in my bag. Again...The craftsmanship of this has me considering buying all Ben Hogan stuff. Review Summary: They're discontinued. A real shame. It seems my favorite stuff is alwyas discontinued. The good news I guess, is that you can find awesome deals on them as a result. In fact, they come in all sorts of lofts. Stock up! Give 'em as gifts. Etc...
Awesome wedges, the feel is incredible, and they make you look good with all the control and spin you have when they're in you hands. As good as anything out there...easily.
