Details: These are actually golf sandals and not shoes. Color is camel straps, black sole. Durahide upper. Neoprene lining. Double x-cross strapping system. Toe guard (similar to a bug guard for car hoods). Midsole water channels for water and sand drainage. Forefoot shank. Wide outsole base for swing stability. Multi-directional traction teeth for all terrain traction. Sculpted midsole for a better feel for your feet. Arch shank for support and stability. Fast-twist spikes. All straps are Velcro to adjust to the feet (across the toe line, top of foot, and back heel).
Purchase: Purchased this pair from Golfsmith in El Segundo, CA. Paid $49.99 + tax. It's hot here in southern CA, and I needed something cooler for my feet at the range. My inspiration was watching a swing analysis of someone on this site on YouTube video wearing flip-flops. Seeing that made me go, 'Hmmm!' Instead of flip-flopping during my swing, I wanted something more stable and durable, and similar to my present golf shoes, which are the Footjoys GF:II and ReelFit.
Pros: These sandals are the most comfortable sandals I have ever worn. The Velcro straps are backed by a neoprene sheet that prevents uncomfortable fitting. This includes the back heel, where I usually end up getting shaffs and blisters. I tried these sandals with and without socks. I feel more comfortable without the socks, and look less foolish too. With the socks on, fitting becomes more difficult, as the socks will tend to stretch back away from the toe. But I wanted something to keep my feet cool, and these sandals without the socks is definately a winner. The Fast-twist spikes keep the feel of the sandals as if you were wearing your golf shoes. There's no restriction in movement even during the swing followthrough when your back foot heel rises up and you're foot is on the toe. The toe guard (similar to the design of a bug guard on cars) keeps your toes from touching the ground no matter what you do.
Cons: There is nothing to dislike about these golf sandals. But I don't think I'd wear these on the course. It's perfect for the hot days on the driving range.
Quality: So far these sandals have been keeping up with the pace. I've been wearing them at the range for a total of about 5 hours, and have experienced no discomfort. Seems to be very durable.
Review Summary: I finally found the perfect golf sandals for these hot summer days at the golf range without sacrificing the total golf feel.
