Purchase: Grabbed these off ebay for a very decent price: thirty-four bucks complete with shipping.
Pros: I guess I’m a bit behind the times. These are ‘mocs’ – meaning they don’t have shoelaces. You’re supposed to sort of ‘slip’ into them.
You REALLY have to squeeze your feet into these shoes. They folded over a bit both on the heel and on top. I realized I needed a shoehorn. I haven’t used a shoehorn since I was ten years old AND dressing up for Sunday school, so it was tough finding any. The big drug store down the street didn’t sell them. Finally I found a couple at a Thrift Shop.
Once you get the foot in the shoe, there are these odd Velcro straps that need to be looped and pulled and tightened around the heel and over the top. Along with the shoehorn, you also need an above average IQ to figure out how to do this (I was taxed, but finally got the gist of it).
The good news is that after all these trials and tribulations, the shoes are very comfy. I walked 18 holes the first time out and didn’t get a blister. I may never get a blister from these shoes.
Cons: I wouldn’t call them ‘waterproof’ however. Beware.
Quality: They're are holding up. The spikes are weird. Plastic threading. I guess I'll have to do some research and find out where they sell them.
Review Summary: Be prepared for a bit of ribbing, 'cause you'll be 'stylin'' in these fashiony shoes.
