On 2005-03-03, DON rated this Brush T Golf Tees a 3...(5119)

Purchase: Purchase from Galylan's, paid about $6.00 foa package of three in the smaller sizes, and $7.00 for a package of two of the extra long size. I wanted to try them and see if you really get longer, straighter ball flight.
Pros: The Brush Tees seem to work as promised, it's hard to tell if you gain much distance off the tee, but you sure don't lose any. They come in four heights, and they are color coded, so you can tee up the ball for what ever club you want, and the tee height will always be the same. If you feel ball position is important, than a consistant tee height has to be also. What I really use the Brush Tee for, is during practice sessions at the range. Because the bristles bend when you hit the ball, the tee tends to stay in the ground most of the time. You can hit 10 or 20 balls with a club and never have to stick a new tee in the ground. This will save you a lot of time at the range, so you can spend more time on your short game.
Cons: The price. They cost too much and much more than the Rip Tips, which work in the same way, with nylon bristle to hold the ball. You need to have at least three sets of these so you have the correct height for all your tees shot. That gets expensive, about $20.00 for tees. The colors could be better. The black ones are real hard to find when they do come out of the ground.
Quality: Quality seems to be fine. I haven't had any promlems with them. They will last for a long time if you don't lose them.

Review Summary: I don't think they are worth it for use on the course expect maybe for the extra long one for hitting your driver. If you practice as much as you should, you will save time at the range, and that makes them worth it for practice use. Each tee comes in a plastic bullet shaped container to keep the bristles straight and clean. And you get one belt clip in each set to attach the container to your belt if you want. If I had to do it again, I would go with the Rip Tips and save the money.
