On 2008-02-20, DocT rated this Brush T XLT Tees a 5...(8021)

Details: This tee is yellow, with yellow and white bristles. The bristle length is approximately 1.85', and the overall length of the Brush-t is approximately 3 1/8th inches. This is the largest (tallest) of the Brush-t tees product line. The bristles are in a hollowed circular pattern (like a ring). The entire tee is constructed from plastic.

Purchase: I usually purchase this where ever I can get a store coupon. Either at Golfsmith or Sports Authority, for under $10 after coupons for a pair of the Brush-t XLT size. Brush-t's also come in a complete set of 4 (2', 2.2', 2.4', and the 3.125').
Pros: I really like using this type of tee because of the consistent height I get when I tee up my ball. The bristles holds the ball in place . If, on a windy day I need to tee lower, I just use the next size down. Using this type of tee is easy to use and can never be destroyed like the conventional wooden tees. Only the bristles will make contact with the clubhead. The base is flat against the ground. So unless you hit fat, the Brush-t should last a very long time. Deformations are minimal after a LOT of hits. And if the bristles become deformed, all you need to do is curve them in the opposite direction. Then it's good as new.
Cons: Nothing I don't like about it. Even when keeping this tee in my pocket and having the bristles slightly deformed, I just form them back and it's good to go.
Quality: Construction of this product is very good. The plastic base holds the tee firmly in the ground. The plastic bristles seem to withstand a multitude of hits with no damage.

Review Summary: Great little product for consistent tee height. If the tee is in between your height desires, then you can always trim them to the way you want.
