Details: STIFF SHAFT - OVERSIZE GRIP
Purchase: ABOUT 10 YEARS AGO, I BOUGHT A SET OF BULLET .444 IRONS.....$650....AT A SMALL GOLF SHOP IN PALM HARBOR, FLORIDA. I STILL HAVE THEM. I PLAY ALL TAYLOR MADE CLUBS NOW, WITH EXCEPTION OF A CLEVELAND WEDGE. Pros: THE LOFT ON THE IRONS ARE A LITTLE STRONG. I HIT A HIGH BALL ANYWAY, AND MY FRIENDS CAN TELL YOU MY DISTANCE IS ABOVE NORMAL, ESPECIALLY WITH THE SHORTER IRONS. WITH THE BULLETS I HAD NO TROUBLE WORKING THE BALL AND ALSO CREATING SPIN ON THE BALL. THE LAST TIME I USED THE BULLET IRONS I SHOT A TWO UNDER 70.
TO DATE; THE BULLET .444 ARE STILL WITH IT; GOOD BALANCE AND CAVAITY BACKED. Cons: THE INITIAL COST Quality: STANDARD LENGTH - STIFF SHAFTS - OVERSIZED GRIP - CAVAITY BACKED HEADS - MEDIUM BOUNCE. Review Summary: I HAVE BOUGHT AND SOLD SEVERAL SETS OF IRONS.......BUT I HAVE HELD ON TO THE BULLET .444'S......THEY HAVE NEVER GONE OUT OF STYLE.

Purchase: a buddy of mine has a set of bullets (we eventually busted em all) and they were junk. had no feel to them at all and couldn't work the ball at all. sure they go further than most bladed irons but thats because they are a few degrees stronger. Pros: absolutely nothing. Cons: everything. Quality: they are built like tanks. but unless your planning on beating them against a driveway(we tested this for fun) any other club on the market will hold up fine. get some jazz clubs if your gonna go cheap. Review Summary: dont waste your time On 2002-09-17, moviebizman rated this Bullet .444 a 5...(558)
Purchase: I'm really just commenting on the review by "SUPER." Who claimed he bought these irons for 29 bucks and on accident. (when the used price was supposed to be 299.99)
First of all, yes you did get lucky.
Next, don't be so conscious of what the pros carry, mainly because you'll never shoot like them. (don't believe me? try buying Nike Blades just because David Duvall uses them) Let's see how you do.
About the irons and I must bring justice after Mr. "SUPERs" ignorant review despite he gave it an "A++" rating.
I purchased these irons in 1998 brand new.
The new price was 499.99 for 3 - SW. Purchased from Las Vegas Golf and Tennis.
Why I bought these was because of their oversized forgiving sweetspot and progressive weight system.
Again to MR. SUPER : Your buddies who haven't heard of these irons have not been around very long. Pros: Before I make any purchase I do a considerable amount of research. Bullet was ahead of their time technologically. All the big name irons in the U.S. have followed Bullets designs only recently.
To correct Mr. "SUPER" : The .444 irons are made of 17-4 Stainless Steel.
Another thing I like about these irons are they take a licking ! I've traveled to Eurpope, Japan, Hawaii, and beat them up locally in Southern California and they still look brand new.
They do sound like bullets when you hit em'. At the range everyone glances over! These are effortless and provide maximum distance. For example: on a par 3 where everyone is pulling out a 6 iron, I pull out my 7 to get on the green. Cons: Even with the ceramic kevlar graphite shafts, 3.0 torque, mid flex point, the irons are quite heavy. Quality: Bullet is based out of Europe and had corporate offices in Orange, California, as well as manufacturing in Florida. No Taiwan shit. So Mr. SUPER is right about the quality of these irons.
Review Summary: I've used many irons after these, such as Cleaveland and Callaway X-14s and I always come back to the Bullet .444s.
I've never strayed away from using Callaway woods, but I'm glad I took a chance when considering my Bullet irons. If they make their woods like they make their irons, I'm sure their woods would be a good buy also. You can see their line at http://www.bulletgolf.com

Went to the range yesterday to practice. Took the new 9.5* driver to test it out. I hit it a lot better than I figured I would with that factory insta
