On 2008-02-25, DON rated this Caddy Patch Driver Wood and Iron Patches a 4...(8024)

Details: I tried all the different size Caddy Patches, the large ones for a driver, the smaller ones for woods and irons.

Purchase: I got the Caddy patch for a test from their website site. The price varies by size.
Pros: One of the nice things about the Caddy Patch is that it's re-usable. It comes with a plastice card and when you remove the patch from the club, you apply the patch to the card, for later use. Also comes in a small case, like a business card case. The patch is made of suede leather. When you hit a ball the suede picks up the ball imprint. You then swipe the patch with your finger or the card, and remove the imprint, and it's ready for the next swing. Each patch is good for hundreds of imprints, as many as 900 hits have been reported. Being able to remove and re-apply the patch makes it quite usefull for many range sessions.
Cons: The only negative with the patch is that the ball imprint isn't as easy to see as with the paper imprint tape. With the paper tape, the ball imprint shows up blue against the white paper. With the suede, the ball mark is a lighter shade of brown compared to the rest of the patch. It's not real easy to see, but it's not real hard to see either.
Quality: Quality is real good. I've had no problems with the patch sticking to the face of any of my clubs, and it come off easily. I don't know how many imprints I've gotten with one patch, but it's in the hundreds and still going strong.

Review Summary: One of the best ways to get the most from your clubs is with good solid ball contact. With a Caddy Patch on your club, you can tell exactly where you are making contact on every swing. One thing I know from expereice is that if you have the wrong shaft in you clubs, you will hit balls off the whole face of your clubs. With a Caddy Patch, you'll know if your ball contact is consistant or not, and you'll know if you need a different shaft in only a few minutes.
