On 2005-08-27, Evil R1 rated this Callaway 3.8 Ultralight Stand Bag a 4...(6116)

Purchase: I purchased this at my local Pro Shop for $119.
Pros: This is a great looking bag, mine is Orange/Blue/Black. It has ton's of different compartments and holds almost everything (just not your shoes). This bag is also very light with a 3-point IZZO Strap, so it's rather comfortable to carry this around for 18 holes. The Stand is also one of the better stands I have seen.
Cons: I really only have one complaint about this unit, and that is size. It's only 8 inches in diameter and I have alot of Woods / Hybrids and an Oddysey 2 Ball putter. It makes it very difficult to fit everything into the bag. If you carry more than a 2 Woods you probably won't be too happy with this bag. I would recommend the Callaway ION instead as it has the WOODE system. Also, if this is your only bag, I would recommend getting a cart bag instead. This bag doesn't mount up to motorized carts very well. When mounted to a cart, the legs get scratched up from rubbing up against the cart. Also, the top of the bag tends to collapse when being harnessed into the cart making removal of clubs difficult.
Quality: While I have only oned this bag for 2 months, it has been a high quality item and has held together well. I definately not been babying this bag and it's keep scoming back for more.

Review Summary: This is a great second bag to own for when you are walking the course. It's high quality, light, and comfortable, but lacks space for a beginner's set with many Woods (D/3/5) and Hybrids (3/4/5). A Driver and 3 Wood fit perfectly in the top sections, while the middle has enough room for 2 - PW (as long as they are not very fat clubs such as the Big Bertha 2004). And the bottom is basically good for 2 Wedges in one opening and a Putter in the other. Mallet style putters do not fit well in this bag, I could recommend getting an external putter port for those.
