Details: HX Tour (Black)

Purchase: I purchased the balls from eBay and paid about $2.36 per ball ($28 per dz).
Pros: The balls are extremely soft around the greens. They seem to generate spin comparable to balata balls, and unfortunately they wear about as well. The distance is comparable to what you might find in a Titleist Pro V1 or a Bridgestone B330. The balls feel very solid off the putter face and they seem to roll very true.
Cons: These balls are not durable. I can generally only get one to last 9 holes. If I make it 18, I've really accomplished something. Lateral spin off the driver is a bit excessive, and the ball tends to have a slightly higher than average flight.
Quality: The ball plays extremely well, but is as durable as an old Maxfli HT - they just don't last.

Review Summary: Great ball. Superior spin and feel. Comparable distance. Great if you can afford to tee up a new one every 12-15 holes.

Purchase: Purchased from Golf Galaxy for $40
Pros: I have used the Pro V1 and the v1x ever since they came out. My friend gave me a sleeve of these for a tournament. I was playing the #1 seed so I gave them a go. The second hole is a par 4 340 yards a little down hill. I had some wind at my back and the ball landed on the green. I have been hitting it longer and with just as much spin as I ususlly do. I have switched!! Try them. You owe it to yourself.
Cons: $40 for a dozen is too damn much.
Quality: Well made not too much scuffing. This is a quality 4pc ball.

Review Summary: You will hit the ball longer. that is all you need to know.

Purchase: Lost Creek golf Club About 40 bucks
Pros: This is the best ball I have ever hit. It hits off the tee like a two piece ball and stop on the greens like you hit it in a mud hole .HOW THEY DO THAT.... I have played all kinds of balls in 45 years I even go back to the Kmart wonder ball.. But this ball takes the top prize.
Cons: Not a thing
Quality: Best looking ball I have seen. I love the logo.

Review Summary: Just hit and have fun.I was one to think all balls were the same and I have changed my mind because of this ball. All the golf balls today are good and I don't think you can buy a bad ball for the top guys,but this one is well above the average.
