Purchase: My favorite ball was the Callaway CB1, either red or blue. But technology advances and I thought I'd give the HX2's a try. Found them at Golfsmith for only $19.99.
Pros: I thought the new dimple design was unique. The logo makes it very easy to align the ball during putting. It seemed to stick the green better than the CB1. Haven't played in over a year, but I had to use the ball repair tool quite a bit during the last round.
Cons: The ball didn't play much longer than any other ball I've played with. After 9 holes, my first ball no longer rolled true. Fortunately I put it out of it's misery with a watery death.
Quality: The cover seemed to scuff very easily. Within 7-8 holes, the entire ball was scuffed.

Review Summary: Glad I tried the new ball. It has come down in price and in the $20 range it's a bargain. However if I had paid the $40-$50 when it first came out, I wouldn't have been too happy. I think I'll try a different ball next time.
