Details: HX Tour

Purchase: Local Nevada Bob's golf store. Trying them out, I bought a sleeve, 11.00.
Pros: It has a nice sound off the tee. Acquires a ncie amount of backspin with irons / wedges. ACCURACY with IRONS! The accuracy these balls give is amazing! Truly game - changing. Very nice flight trajectory. Short of a plane take off. Just rises. If it is not mis-hit it feels alot like the PROV1.
Cons: Distance was okay. I drive an average of 280ish. With this ball, I hit it shorter than what I usually hit my PROV1. By about 5 to 10 yards - i think this is because with the trajectory is has, it climbs, then simply falls at a steep angle. HOWEVER, THIS IS NOT THE NEW 2006 MODEL. ACCORDING TO CALLWAY THE NEW ONE IS LONGER AND MORE DURABLE. With a 20 mph wing at my back I got it 293. VERY hard feel on mis-hit shots. Like a rock. Scuffing.
Quality: Scuffs easily with wedge shots, however these are very small scuffs - still playable. Ink fades.

Review Summary: This ball overall is better than average. Distance is ALMOST the same as the PROV1. Accuracy is better than any ball I have ever hit. Scuffs, yet lasts.

Details: HX Tour 56 Golfball

Purchase: Purchased for 40$at US Golf, on recommendation of store manager. I usually play Titleist VI or VI X, and he suggested I try this new ball from Callaway. The HX Tour 56.
Pros: Long off the tee. Accuracy is very good and it is an excellent golfball off of the lofted irons when playing into the green. Also, A winner when putting. Great feel.
Cons: Seems to wear a bit more than others but I have only played 18 , one time so far, using this ball.
Quality: It feels right and plays very well, especially around the greens. I suspect the cover is very thin but seems durable.

Review Summary: I hit most fairways with this ball and it flew straight or with a nice fade or draw ,depending on the shot needed. I like a workable ball and this Callaway delivers. I live beside a golfcourse and get all kinds of balls in my yard, so I can try most any. The bottom line is that the expensive golfballs really do play better. I am a believer in the new, modern technology in golf equipment, although the game was just as enjoyable in the 60's and 70's. Golf is the greatest game and the younger players have the absolute best in equipment to use as they work on their game. Callaway has grown, and proven it can make fine equipment. This new Ball is a fine example.
