On 2006-03-22, ND golfer rated this Callaway 460 X a 5...(6741)

Details: 9.5 degree, stiff shaft, factory Fujikara, 46 inch length

Purchase: Purchased 460 X recently at National Golf after trying several drivers on indoor range. $299 retail. Compared it to Cobra F Speed, Cleveland, Titleist 950, Ping G5. Seemed to feel most comfortable with the X.
Pros: I played three rounds in the Caribbean last week. Wow. High and long drives when hit on the sweet spot. Easy power. Off-center drives are still good and go surprisingly far. The sound tells it all. You know when you hit it right and so does anyone around you. Doesn't feel heavy like some of the other 460 cc drivers I have hit.
Cons: Tends to hit drives higher than my old 983K which may not be a good thing in the wind.
Quality: Easy set-up, looks good at address, not a huge driver when viewed at address like the Sasquatch.

Review Summary: I think it is a great driver for most players. Easy to hit and very forgiving. Maximizes distance even on off-center hits.
