On 2004-03-30, Steve rated this Callaway Big Bertha Titanium (2004) 10* Strong RCH Shaft a 5...(3218)

Purchase: I was unhappy with the distance I was getting with my 11* Great Big Bertha . After looking at most current models of driver on the internet , I became intrigued with the Big Bertha Titanium . I ordered one through my pro shop directly from Callaway , for the price of $250 . It arrived 8 days later .
Pros: The first drive I hit with this club exploded 40 yards beyond the 150 marker on our first hole , the marker I had been barely reaching . I am a 2 handicap , and I never liked larger headed drivers . Looking down at this driver at address , it seems to be only slightly larger than the Great Big Bertha , although at 360 cc it is over 100 cc larger in volume . Drive after drive have been long and straight - it seems even my mishits are long and in the fairway or just off it - I never seem to be in trouble .
Cons: I have yet to find something to dislike about theis driver .
Quality: This Big Bertha Titanium driver is solid and well made . I have owned several Callaway drivers through the years and have found the quality consistently high - and their customer service is outstanding - they back their products . I could have selected most any shaft for this club , but I chose to get the stock RCH 60 shaft because it is the one designed to match the club . It works well ; the strong shaft works with my 111 mph driver swing to deliver consistently long , accurate drives .

Review Summary: After a number of rounds with this driver , I can advise any golfer that if they are hitting any driver over 2 years old , they are giving up distance and accuracy . The Big Bertha Titanium driver has increased my driving confidence - it seems nearly impossible to hit a poor drive with it . Callaway has long been known for innovation and quality - with this driver they succeed again and at the $250 price have delivered an outstanding value .
