Purchase: I received the Big Bertha 454 driver as a birthday present. It was purchased for US$299.
Pros: The Callaway Big Bertha Titanium 454 driver is a beautiful easy-to-hit golf club. The only driver I ever really used before this was a no-name driver in my beginner set, but the shaft was far too flexy. The Big Bertha that I'm using now has a 10 degree loft and a graphite RCH 65w regular flex shaft. The stock grip is pretty comfortable and has a rib. For my birthday this summer, I got a TaylorMade R5 driver from my wife. Since this was my first good driver, we went back to the golf shop to make sure it was the one I could really use. After trying out three or four drivers, I finally decided on the Big Bertha 454. While all the drivers seemed to look good at address and felt good in the hands, the Callaway felt best at impact even when I hit the ball far from the sweet spot. The Big Bertha 454 feels great on the golf course. I can step up to the tee and be very confident that I know where the ball is going. I feel like I'm hitting more fairways than ever before. The club also feels like it gives good feedback regarding mishits. While the ball can still go relatively straight, the club transmits a mishit gently into your hands so you can try and correct it the next time. I'm now experimenting with shaping shots. This club lets you work the ball relatively easily. (Of course, I just try to hit it straight. Otherwise, I don't know where the ball will go!)
Cons: There's really nothing I don't like about the Big Bertha 454.
Quality: The quality of this driver is top-notch. It's very solid and cleans up easily.

Review Summary: This club inspires confidence. After blasting a few balls at the driving range, hitting a ball off the tee is almost on automatic. All you need to do is make a smooth swing, and the club does the rest.

Purchase: I got it as a gift for my birthday for $300
Pros: I love it.. I hit it longer than any other driver I have ever used. I have experimented with many driver (even the R7 and G2) I found none as useful as the 454 though. It is my favorite club in my bag.
Cons: The only thing i don't like is the grips..I plan to get a new Lamkin grip put on next spring.
Quality:

Review Summary: Definetly a great purchase.. Although I think a lot of todays technology is good. Try many drivers out and find out what is good for you.

Purchase: Golf Galaxy. Used, 9/10 condition. 170-14 discount-96 trade-in = $60. An 11 degree loft and regular flex. I thought 11 degree would be a bit to much loft. Regular flex is good, I won't need a stiff for a year or two.
Pros: Amazing forgiveness! Off center hits go a lot farther than with my previous r580 xd or ping tisi tec. The distance is huge, and the higher loft gives me more carry. Before, I was struggling to get distance out of my large headed xd, and was doubting that I could get results with this one. Man I was wrong. Explosive distance. The ball just flies off the face. Nice and straight too. The size just needs getting used to, which didn't take me a long time. I also read reviews that said this driver had a weak sound. I wanted a nice sound like my old tisi, and didn't want to end up with something quiet again like in my xd. But they must have been hitting it wrong or something because it makes a nice loud ping when you hit it well, which makes a good drive even better.
Cons: Absolutely nothing.
Quality: Great quality. After about 5 rounds, a few trips to the range, and an occasional wash, the club looks basically brand new. Stock shaft is a nice match. Headcover is good quality and protects the club nicely. The grip is a bit different, but nice and comfortable.

Review Summary: I'm a 15 year old kid that needed a new forgiving driver, but could not cough up atleast $300 to get one. So this was a major steal! I was just looking through the used clubs and expected to find nothing. I saw an r7, but with a 400 price. Luckily I came across this 454, tried it out in the simulator, loved it, and bought it cheap. After having continuous success with it on the range and course, I absolutely love this club. So, if you're going to buy a new driver, try this one out along with the g2, sz, r7, r5, launcher, and whatever else you try.

Purchase: Got this club from Golftown. Used Callaway's trade-in program to trade my Hawkeye VFT for the 454. The 454 was $350 CDN before trade.
Pros: This club is very forgiving. I doubt if it will measure up to the "World's Longest Driver" title - I've hit King Cobra's further. Still, it is definitely a fine club to hit. I hit it side-by-side with the Fusion and the 454 felt and sounded far superior to me. With my swing speed of 100 mph, the regular flex shaft was recommended to me. This club has yet to decide whether it wants to hit a gentle fade or a slight draw on a consistent basis, but either way my ball is always in the fairway.
Cons: I like pretty well everything so far. I've heard complaints about the stock shafts, but I guess I'm not a good enough golfer to notice, because this shaft seems alright to me. The driver sets up much nicer than my Hawkeye VFT, which had a very closed face. Since I don't normally slice the ball, the VFT was the wrong club for me. Everything went left. Though when I did hit it on the screws, I have no doubt the VFT was longer than this 454.
Quality: I have never had any complaints of Callaway's quality of construction. And I like the head cover on this club much better than the zippered version on my VFT.

Review Summary: I never imagined myself swinging a club this big, but the results don't lie. This is a great all-around driver. My friend claims his G2 is ten yards longer, but we're side-by-side on every fairway.

Purchase: I purchased the club from my local Nevada Bobs in Preston, England for £179. I purchased the club as an alternative for the soon to be illegal King coba SZ440.
Pros: This club is extremely forgiving in terms of Accuracy. Although the Cobra was very forgiving a slight slice and the ball was on the next fairway!! This club hits them straighter than I have ever hit before. The flight of the ball is also a lot more penetrating than the cobra with a slightly lower flight, which does give more roll. The sound is a little muted but I can live with than when they are all flying down the middle of the fairway!! In terms of feel the club face is particularily hard and the ball really does shoot off rather than the old callaway's which tended to be a bit soft and dull.
Cons: Although the club is forgiving in terms of accuracy, it does let its self down in terms of forgivness in distance. Off centre hits go about 10/20 feet shorter than those hit out of the screws!! However those that do come off the middle of the bat really do fly.
Quality: An excellently constructed club from callaway and much better than any of there other drivers. The head design is simple and the standard red callaway shaft works well.

Review Summary: This club is worth a try for those people who are searching for accuracy over distance.
