Details: 8 degree stiff flex

Purchase: My father-in-law gave it to me. Shaft was too stiff for him.
Pros: I'd given up even carrying a driver for years because I was too erratic off the tee. Usually averaged about 240-250 yards with other drivers, but couldn't find the fairway. Now I do, if I don't drive the green! The C4 averages about 280 for me, and I usually come away with al least one 300+ yard drive for the day. My typical shot is a long, draw, though if I lay into it too hard I can snap-hook if not careful. When it gets 'dialed in', which is often, I can tell you how long, fade or draw, and trajectory. Never had a better club.
Cons: At FIRST I didn't like the sound it made. Sounded like I was walloping a dead fish. Now I get a kick out of the 'dead' sound, because I know it means a looooong ball! I was complaining about my misses a couple weeks ago and my partner said, 'Brian, your misses are 260 yards and fairly straight.' He was right.
Quality: Very solid club. The grip is really slick, but I don't complain because it hasn't affected results yet.

Review Summary: Low to mid handicappers should try this club if they have the opportunity. Based on the reviews I've read and my own experience, it could be the best or the worst thing to ever happen to your game.

Purchase: Bought brand spakin' new on Ebay for $80 + S&H
Pros: I love this driver. Many people don't. I have used a BB Hawkeye VFT for 2 years even with the 2 deg. offset I was still slicing. So I figured "Hey why not try a standard offset club (c4)and see what happens. With the C4 i hit almost every ball straight. Plus I think it looks pretty cool too. The head size (360) is just right
Cons: I do think you will lose a litle distance with this club. This may be beacuse I am not used to it yet. It has a thud sound instead of the "ping of Whing" that you are use to hearing but who cares if the drive is good.
Quality: It seems to be constructed well. I love the "Warbird" sole on it. The shaft is reg. flex. In the past I have always bought stiff (but because it was on ebay didn't have a choice). It seems pretty "bendy" but I think that is just because of the flex.

Review Summary: If you are stuggling with your drives give the C4 a chance. I believe it may be a club more suited for those who hit in the mid 80's and above. If you have almost given up on using a driver as I was, try the C4. For the price you can buy it for on ebay it's worth it.

Purchase: I paid 219.00 dollars at Carolina custom golf. I purchased this club on a close out sale,it was just over 400 dollars before close out. I never had a high line driver before so I made this my first.
Pros: No other driver looks like this one. The carbon composite head looks like kevlar. The head looks really smooth and has a large C4 logo on the side. It is the best looking driver out there, the first time I remember seeing this driver I knew that one day I would own one. With the name C4 I expected this thing to be explosive off the tee box.
Cons: I have not yet found another driver with a head that is as light as this one. It is hard to feel the club head when you swing. I often swing to hard at the ball because of the lack of feedback.(The shaft is a reg) I now play with more players than before and have yet to find a driver I hate more than this C4. The 975 titleist series, Taylormade 320, even the hippo giant seems better and today was given a cheap synergy 420 cc that came with a set of clubs a friend purchased, this club felt no worse than my C4 to me.
Quality: The shaft broke during a round which was caused by a fat hit, this was fixed by Callaway with no charge. No one makes a better looking driver than this one. Everyone always looks at the carbon composite head, it looks really good in the sunlight.

Review Summary: I have had long hitting friends that couldn't wait to hit this club put balls around 275+, these guys think the C4 is great. I have also seen other shorter hitters I play with hit the ball with better results than myself. If possible hit this club before buying, The weight of the club head and your swing speed maybe a bad match.

Purchase: I acquired this driver from my Golf clubs pro shop. Skipton North Yorkshire England. I bought this club to increase my distance and help remove my fade. I paid £100.00 pounds.Date of purchase late 2003.
Pros: The club has proved to be fantastic,I like its lightness, feel and manufacture quality, and most of all the solid clunk when you strike the ball, not the tin like sound you get from the metal drivers. I achieved all my objects distance and near straight shots.
Cons: I can not think of any dislikes.A Great club.
Quality: Build great quality fantastic. I have now be using this club 14 months three times a week and still behaves like new.

Review Summary: Best club I have ever purchase. I can not under stand why Callaway changed the design.

Purchase: I bought my C4 at golfsmith.com hoping that it would improve my game by acquiring more distance of the tee. This club is very hard to hit and not very forgiving. you need to practice and tame it. this club is not for anyone to use. it's like riding a bicycle for the very first time.
Pros: What I like about it, is the brand name "Callaway' I think thats about it.
Cons: Everything! the face of the club cannot be trusted. it gives you an ugly sound specially on a miss hit. not very forgiving. When i had it working for me, it never gave me a dramatic distance of the tee. It really sucks!
Quality: the finish is somewhat ok. kinda like made from aerospace technology. very light and not custom materials. good prototype looking and thats about it.

Review Summary: I don't know why callaway came out with this idea. C4 technology will benefit maybe the tennis players coz of its club face.It resembles a tennis racquet strings. i hit way farther using my golden bear driver 60 yards more. You have to be a real pro to tame this club. not worth the money for this kind of club. don't even waste your time for a demo.Big mistake for a well brand name.

Purchase: I bought my C4 ever so lightly used from the World Golf Village pro shop for $75. How could I not???
Pros: I like almost everything about this club, though my game is a bit quirky so I could see how it wouldn't be for everyone. I am a short-hitting scratch player with a natural hook. My favorite thing about the C4 is how easily I can hit a nice easy fade with it since I tend to hook every other driver out there. If you already slice the ball, perhaps this is not good, but I love how it feels and handles. It added about 15 yards to my drives from a GBB Hawkeye, but I get the feeling this club only seems to add yards for people with relatively slow swing speeds for their ability. I also happen to LIKE the sound it makes at impact; it sounds and feels as close to persimmon as anyone has come.
Cons: Um, maybe that if I ever were to trade it in, I know I wouldn't get much for it... Like I said, it does just about everything right for me, but I think it favors someone with either a natural draw, or someone who is NOT battling their fade.
Quality: The head has thus far stayed on the shaft... It's a Callaway, of course it's solid.

Review Summary: Like I said, you should probably test drive a C4 before purchasing, but if you run across one for a deal like mine, I still wouldn't hesitate to live dangerously; it's a nice stick.

Purchase: Purchased at Golfsmith for $99.
Pros: The C4 is extremely light and has a large head. I am now much more accurate of the tee box and have added about 10 yds to my drive. Instead of punching out from the woods, I am now hitting from the fairway.
Cons: Its probably not the longest club on the market, but it has improved my game, and for $99, I am extremely happy with my purchase.
Quality:

Review Summary: I was using a generic metal wood with an extended shaft (2 inches longer than normal) to try to get extra distance. What I gained in distance, I lost in accuracy. With the Callaway C4 I hit it just as long and now I am in the fairway probably 25% more often. For the $99 I paid for it at Golfsmith, I am very happy with my purchase.

On 2004-07-06, mid teens capper rated this Callaway C4 a 3...(3842)

Purchase: $99 @ tgw.com
Pros: price - read other reviews here and can't believe folks paid $200 or more for this club - it's worth ... well ... $99
Cons: I bought it about a month ago and have played 10 rounds with it + been to range a few times. Other reviews are correct - thud vs ping, light as a feather, etc. but what do you want for $99 - a RAM?
Quality: good - worried about shaft after all the horror stories here

Review Summary: if you paid $200, $300 or more and have problems then I'm sorry for you ... if it was a gift, a prize or you paid $99 and you have problems then stop whining and buy a more expensive club

On 2004-06-28, Josh P. rated this Callaway C4 a 2...(3816)

Purchase: Paid $99 at Dick's sporting goods; club is on clearance. Was bought for me as a gift.
Pros: Initially hit quite well, and although my swing speed is only in the upper 80's/low 90's, the stiff shaft felt much more solid. I usually have a significant slice (I'm a righty), but this club easily cut the slice in half with no change in technique.
Cons: It broke! I play maybe 12 rounds a year, and am by far not the best golfer. But I have a medium swing speed and fair swing mechanics, so I was surprised when I took this driver out to a range (after only having played a single 18-hole round with it) and it snapped! I hit the ball off the tee, there was no contact with the mat (which was one of the fake grass over concrete types), and i felt a large pull on the clubhead as it hit the ball... and there went the head and 6 inches of the shaft, sailing 25 yards. Unbelieveable! Trust me, my 7-year-old Spalding executive clubs I got as a beginner have take harder hits when I DID hit the concrete mat hard, and THEY survived. This driver snapped on a perfectly acceptable shot. Unacceptable quality.
Quality: At first I thought it was pretty good. But now I can't see recommending it to anyone. I'm just glad that, after reviewing this board, I had read that shaft breakage WAS a possibility; I would've been really upset! To their credit, Dick's took the club back and refunded my money.

Review Summary: A good club while it lasted, but this really turned me on Callaway. Dick's was great, though, and I replaced this club with a Taylormade r360XD-- after checking this board about it first!

Purchase: I bought this driver for $75 US while I was visiting my family in California. I usually play in the mid 80's but found my game off the tee was inconsistent (often spraying my drives and losing distance). I had a used a similar driver in a practice round and couldn't believe the confidence it gave me so I just had to buy it when I saw the amazing price.
Pros: It gives me confidence on the tee. I know when I step up to the ball I am 95% sure it will be 230-250 yards (I'm only 5'6" and 145lbs) out and 75% sure it will be in the fairway. This is definitely a change for me. It is quite large and I don't recall ever skying I drive less than 200 yards. I am able to both draw and fade this club with some degree of accuracy and confidence.
Cons: The sound the ball makes when coming of the head of the club. A great shot still sounds like I hit the ball with the headcover on (or partially on!). Anyway, if that's all I can find wrong with it I will take it as long as I keep smashing them out there.
Quality: Well designed. Sets up nice (not open or closed). Impossible to tee ball too high. Graphite, regular flex shaft.

Review Summary: What a difference a club can make to my driving game. Now if only I could chip and putt!

On 2004-03-19, Lo-Ball rated this Callaway C4 a 5...(3144)

Purchase: I bought the driver on e-bay for $149 after trying the identical club that a friend just paid $549 for at the local club shop.
Pros: This is a big driver that looks small. It sets up very nicely and inspires confidence at address. The head size is large enough that your not scard to miss the ball, but small enough to be able to work a draw or fade quite easily. Even when you do miss-hit, the composite carbon face reduces the amout of side spin, minimizing mistakes.
Cons: This driver is not for everybody, but everybody should try it (ith the rage now being hy-brid drivers, you know that there is something to be said for the technology). The driver is very light, and this should be taken into account when selecting the shaft, as it is very easy to select something that is too stiff.
Quality: I've played with this club for about 2 seasons, and have yet to see any markings on the face or crown. No, I'm not that good that I don't occasionaly (often) sky the ball - the club is just so well built that it is hard to damage.

Review Summary: This is not the longest club you will ever hit, and the smack at impact is not for everyone. My drives have become consistant and respectably long as a result of this club, and I highly recommed it to golfers of any level.

On 2004-03-16, Dan Ryan rated this Callaway C4 a 4...(3104)

Purchase: I paid 110 for a used left handed c4 that was in very good shape and included an original headcover
Pros: Its light and very easy to use. Has a great sweet spot and ample forgiveness for mishits
Cons: Didn't have the good ping sound to let you know you hit a good one
Quality: It is a beautifully made club and by far the best driver I have had the pleasure to hit so far.

Review Summary: I would recommend the c4 to all players who are looking to add a little more length to their tee shots.

Purchase: FOund the item on Ebay. Paid $99 for it. I figured it was time to put my Taylor Made Burner out of its misery.
Pros: First, I would have to say the weight and feel at address. Ball comes off of the face really hot and low, due to the 8 degree loft.
Cons: SOUND, SOUND, SOUND. FEEL, FEEL, FEEL. I would have to describe it as being more of a thump or thud. No matter how true I hit the ball I still feel/think that it was a mis-hit.
Quality: True Callaway perfection

Review Summary: This is a great club. Especially after upgrading from the mid 90's techology of the Taylor Made Burner. If sound isn't important to you and you don't mind a "thud/thump" over a traditional "tink", then this is the club for you!

On 2004-02-10, Wood rated this Callaway C4 a 4...(2777)

Purchase: Dick's Sporting Goods $100
Pros: I think the C4 is a great driver for the price. 360CC is not to big and not too small. It doesn't have the 'ting' you hear when you hit a titanium, but who cares. The C4 looks great. Is very light. I'm sure there are better drivers out there, but not for the price you can get this for.
Cons: It is light, and if you want to feel the weight of the head...this isn't the driver for you.
Quality: I have used the C4 for about 20 rounds so far, and the only thing is a little chip out of the face. It is very near the outer edge so it's not big deal. I don't know how it got there, but I don't abuse my clubs so...

Review Summary: Great deal...at least hit one before you spend $500.

On 2003-09-03, Terry rated this Callaway C4 a 1...(2235)

Purchase: I purhased this club from Dick's Sporting Good's Sporting Good's in April 2003 because I had heard that the oversized drivers were more forgiving. I paid over $200 for it on a close out.
Pros: My drives are consistently longer and more accurated with this driver.
Cons: The shaft constantly snaps in half and customer service stinks
Quality: As poor as poor can be

Review Summary: I am a 59 year old 17 handicap duffer that does not have a 100+MPH swing. The driver shaft broke in half in the middle on a normal drive and it took Callaway nearly a month to repair. The repaired club snapped in half 45 days later and Callaway's only response is to repair it again meaning I will more than likely have to wait another 3-4 weeks during the end of golf season in the north. I asked for a credit on an upgrade- not a free replacement-- they would not hear of it. There construction quality is obviously flawed and their service is rotten.

Purchase: I purchased this club through Golfsmith, I thought i would try somthing new and the carbon fibor seemed like a good idea. Big mistake.
Pros: There was very little i liked about this club. I thought the Carbon Head looked good, and that was about it.
Cons: Everything, the club is a piece of sh*t. thats the best way i can put it. I can hit the ball longer with my 7 wood, i got at wal*mart for $20.
Quality: The shaft is cheaply made. Mine broke only the 4th round i had played with the club.

Review Summary: Dont make the mistake i made, Why do you think they halted production of this club, shortly after i year?? cause its a piece of sh*t.

Purchase: I have always liked callaway drivers, but as i began to swing harder, my hawkeye did not have the forgivness i wanted. I began to look for a new driver. I was surfing the net and found a website called The Golf Wearhouse.com, i went to there woods section and after looking for a while i went to the callaway section, and selcted the c4. They had just what i was looking for, a 9* firm flex for $189.
Pros: After my order had come in, i went out to test it at a local driving range. let me tell you, it did take some getting a littel time to get a feel to but once you bond with it it changes your world. Amazing forgiveness and feel.
Cons: the only flaw, balls leave white marks on the face that are hard to get off.
Quality: This is a high quality unite that will last for a long time.

Review Summary: For how cheap it is now go out and buy it.

Purchase: Christmas present Nevada Bobs 200.00
Pros: I was never able to hit a wood off the tee box. When through every driver at the shop. The C-4 gave me the loff and forgiveness to finally launch one off the box. Now getting them 215-220 in the fairway. Occasionally when I don't get in the way 250-275.
Cons: wish i could find fairway woods to match
Quality: excellent feel and flex.

Review Summary: Great club

On 2003-05-30, Scott Seeba rated this Callaway C4 a 3...(1440)

Purchase: I got this driver out of the blue. I was not looking for a driver at the time but stumbled across it at a demo day. The price intrigued me at $175. I hit it good and did not want to miss the chance so I bought it. Bad choice! Don't buy on impulse!
Pros: This driver is good and bad. This driver is constructed differently but is very nice. The distance is quite good for being carbon fiber. The sound is rather odd but can be pleasing on a good shot. Mis-hits are corrected with this driver nicely and usually dont make it to the cabbage.
Cons: I dont like many things about this driver. One of the main selling points is its lightness. I liked it at first but it soon grew into a problem. It's too light. If you are having any problems with your swing you do not want this. It whips around too easy and you develop more problems.
Quality: The construction on this club is meager for Callaway. It is cheaply constructed with a ver crappy shaft. I work at a driving range and these break quite easily. 3 have broke so far. They werent mistreated as you would think. One was broke getting measured testing the clubs shaft strength. Not good at all.

Review Summary: If you want a cheap driver at a fair price now get it and test your luck. I own one and think it is Callaways biggest bomb since the Tuttle putter.

On 2003-05-29, ob rated this Callaway C4 a 4...(1426)

Purchase: Gift
Pros: The ball comes off the club extremely hot. The driver is also pretty forgiving, so it is pretty easy to keep the ball going straight. It is an oversized head, so long tees are a good idea.
Cons: No real complaints. SHould make sure to get the right flex and loft combination. WIth such a big clubhead, you need a stiff flex to drive the ball forward.
Quality: Very solid construction head o grip.

Review Summary: All in all, a good club. Doesn't have the same sweet sound of the Big Bertha Series, but creates some serious ball speed and consitently longer drives.

Purchase: won it at a golf outing. this driver is awful. I cant believe callawy even released it. it is so bad they quickly stopped production. i think it was out for less than a year. a real DOG
Pros: nothing
Cons: sound, distance, control, feel
Quality: good

Review Summary: shame on you callawy! shame on you!

Purchase: I am a beginner and was looking for a driver. At Roger Dunn Golf I found this driver new for $119.99 and could not resist the price with a 90-day trial period.
Pros:
Cons: This driver proved to be very forgiving, especially for somebody who has very little experience with a driver. Almost every drive was straight and took little effort to hit correctly. This club is very lite which I like but others may not find this to be appealing. My swing speed is only about 85mph and the regular shaft worked well for me. My average distance with this driver is about 235yards which seemed to be a little low in my opinion. I decided to try the C4 back to back with the Tsunami 11degree and the Big Birtha II 11Degree drivers. To my surprise the BB2 and Tsunami were almost the exact yardage as the C4 eventhough everybody said they would be longer. The only advantage to these other two is the cool titanium "Ping" sound and a slightly larger sweet spot but for a quarter of the price the C4 is a bargin. Durability was also reported to be bad but a call to Callaway reported a failure rate of 1% which is the same as a BBII and they back all products with a two year waranty.
Quality: Construction and quality are great from the grip to the head, I have no complaints as with all Callaway products at this point.

Review Summary: If a great driver at a great price is your goal I would recomend a C4 if you can still find one, especially at $119.99 new.

On 2003-03-02, Gamecock rated this Callaway C4 a 3...(991)

Purchase: Purchased $150 used at local pro shop (County Club of Newberry). Played with this club serveral times before purchasing and scored well. (9 handicap) (Always drive before you buy!)
Pros: Long light shaft forces me to swing slow and smooth which results in decent drives down the middle of the fairway. This club performs better when using the tall tees. This club produces little or no vibration and is relatively easy on the back and joints for those of us with back and shoulder injuries. (No I am not an old geezer, just beat up from playing too much street ball).
Cons: Light Callaway shaft can not hold up to fast and aggressive swings. Distance and accuracy suffers when I try to get after it. Compared to Callaway metal drivers this composite club can feel like a MUSH MALLOT. Reminds me of the old Wilson Killer Whale. Recommend golfers with fast swing speeds replace the shaft or look elsewhere, which is probably why this club is being discounted now for under $200 brand new in the Myrtle Beach area.
Quality: This is a great looking club. It has the usual Callaway quality even though the head is a graphite composite instead of metal. The shaft is the typical Callaway good looking but wimpy shaft.

Review Summary: Nice club for players with slower swing speeds who need a little extra distance with mininal effort and vibration. Not for aggressive swingers.

Purchase: Just bought this 2002 model at the Floating Green Pro Shop in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Paid the sale price of $199 which is $200 off the $499 retail. I wanted a bigger headed, forgiving driver with a large sweet spot.
Pros: Very pleasing to look at. Nice deep blue checkerboard graphics. Regular flex graphite liteweight shaft. The high tech carbon face is harder thn titanium or steel. No tinny sound off the tee, rather, a nice muted woody sound like the old persimmon woods. I am a 15 handicap. I was playing with the original Big Bertha with stiff steel shaft. I hit this much better and with confidence. Tee it high with the top 1/3 of the ball above the head at address. I can hit it very easy with a soft grip. I have hit 200 to 300 balls on the range. I have hit it 240 missing the sweet spot to the inside. 260 on the sweet spot. With a hot ball, I know I can hit this 280. When I hit it outside, the slice is very forgiving. 451/2 inch shaft. Full extension at address for best results. I can hardly wait for spring!! It feels much nicer than the Wilson Deep Red, Ping TSI, and Taylormade 360.
Cons: Nothing yet.
Quality: Fine construction and workmanship.

Review Summary: This club is a keeper. I think some of the criticisms are unwarranted for those who want to hear a loud metallic crash. This club hits so quiet and soft on impact. Effortless. The high tech compressed carbon fiber is very advanced. The black clubface tells you immediately where you make impact, giving instant feedback.

Purchase: I bought this at my local proshop. I bought it brand new and paid $349. I aquired this because i needed a new driver and i wanted to try out the carbon fiber
Pros: I like its accuracy. I almost cant miss the ball. The size of the clubhead gives you a ton of confidence. I like to look it took a while to get used too but after a while it really looks good. I installed a proforce 75 shaft and now i can hit it even longer.
Cons: I dont like how it might not last long due to its carbon fiber. Also, at first it is hard to hit because it is very lite and you will be able to swing faster. It tales a lot longer to get used to
Quality: It has a 360cc clubhead, perfect for hitting the ball long and straight. It is made of a new carbon that is stronger and lighter than titanium or steel. It has excellent quality.

Review Summary: It is a great club. With the proforce 75 shaft it is easier to control. The ball will definately go long for almost anyone.

Purchase: Demo Club $200.00 Edwin Watts
Pros: After playing with this club for a month I don't have much to list in this LIKE catagory.
Cons: Just about everything!!! This has to be the worst driver that Callaway has ever made!! I have finally sold the driver on Ebay. Had to take a $50.00 cut but it was worth it to just get rid of it.
Quality: Construction is excellent as with all Callaway products.

Review Summary: Maybe this driver is suited for some folks and not others. I just could not ever get any type of distance out of this club. I'm a 12 HC and this driver was destroying my driving ability.

Purchase: Purchased at Las Vegas Golf desiring upgrade from steel driver. Price $220 and in great condition for a used club - looked to be in brand new.
Pros: Played three rounds with the club on vacation and hit all but a couple fairways - a marked improvement. Club is very accurate.
Cons: Club seems to have cost me 20 to 40 yards off the tee. Don't think I can hit the club more than 250 yards but with previous driver would have a couple of drives each round approaching 300.
Quality: High quality club but have concerns how it will hold up over time.

Review Summary: The jury is still out. Need to play a few rounds on a familiar course to compare with former driver. Not sure that the trade off for accuracy vs. distance will keep it in my bag.

On 2002-10-19, Mike rated this Callaway C4 a 4...(688)

Purchase: Demo Club $200.00
Pros: Still trying to give club time. Very light and not to good of distance at this time.
Cons: Have hit a few good drives with driver. Does seem to be a very forgiving driver. Slice the ball alot more now using driver, could be that driver has 45.5 inch shaft and I usually us a 44.0 inch shaft.
Quality: Quality very good as with any Callaway driver.

Review Summary: Will relist my rewiew after a few mores weeks of using driver. If in about two weeks I'm not hitting driver any better it will end up on EBay.

Pros: well can you say, the c4 give true distance for those who can control it! when you hit this club you will notice it sounds like a trust can lid thats full, but plays well.. very good club for players who like distancew off the tee..
Cons: to light of players like me with 150+ speed
Quality: well put togetter, light and easy to control

Pros: I think that it's a very attractive club, and the look at setup is very confidence-inspiring. The C-4 provides decent distance and ball flight trajectory, hits consistently straight, and I like the very different sound it makes at impact.
Cons: It's somewhat difficult to get accurate feedback from the club; whether it's a horrid mishit or a tremendous dead-on drive, the sound at impact is the same. Also, it's not quite as long off the tee as other drivers I have owned. Not bad, but not the longest....
Quality: A beautiful club, typical Callaway high-end fit and finish, and the carbon fiber construction provides a classy and unusual high-tech presence.

Review Summary: I finally abandoned my PING ISI driver after a 2-year relationship, in which I struggled off-and-on with a pesky fade/slice. My 3-wood is a Steelhead III, which I've always hit straight and with surprising distance, and I thought I would take a $350 gamble with the C-4. After being in my bag for 3 months now, I'm very pleased with the consistency of the C-4 - it's not quite as long as the PING driver, but I'm definitely finding more fairways. Regarding my distance comments about the C-4, for reference I would consistently hit my PING driver within the 260-290 yard range, with the occasional 315-320 yard bomb. The C-4 is about 10-15 yards shorter by comparison, with the longest drive around 285 yards to date. However, I will gladly trade (a little) distance for accuracy. I can't completely credit the C-4, but my handicap dropped five strokes (from 17 to 12) since I put the club in my bag this summer. In summary, it's not for everyone; younger golfers with high swing speeds hate the C-4, and cannot seem to hit it. It's apparent that Callaway designed this club for those with normal to slower swing speeds.

Purchase: Acquired on Ebay paid $260.00, club was new.I had a set of composite woods which were manufactured in the late 80's, early 90's(which I still have). I mistakenly thought this new technology would improve my game.(10 handicapper).
Pros: Nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cons: Have you ever been beaten with a wet noodle??? Take a C4 out to a driving range and hit a bucket of balls and you will know how it feels. I hit the C4 approx. 10 yards less than my old composite five wood and not as straight.
Quality: Construction and quality were good just not the right club for me. It may be better suited for older golfers.

Review Summary: C4 is not for strong long hitters.

Purchase: I paid $200 for this driver at the local golf mart.
Pros: I can't believe the results. I went from hitting 260-280 yards with the hawkeye to hitting 260-300 with the C4. Only, since my purchase I have only missed 4 fairways in 5 rounds. I can not speak highly enough of this driver. It is perfect for the high handicap golfer!
Cons: A little hard to get used to at address.
Quality: The quality of this club is great. Interested in seeing how the carbon holds up over time though.

Review Summary: This club is the ultimate for the high to mid handicap golfer looking to inspire more confidence off the tee.

Purchase: i saw a 60 year old man knocking them about 235-250 yards so i thought a young guy like my self could crush it(that's what i get for thinking)
Pros: not much i guess that old dude was hitting his the max because i swung that club every way i knew how and could barely hit it 250. i guess i average somewhere near 290 with my callaway big bertha (yeah the origanal)
Cons: a whole lot, but i do recommend the club if you around sixty years old.
Quality: it felt like someone stuck an old stick in a watermelon, big but really light.

Review Summary: i guess the next time i see and old man dropping em' out there around 250 i wont even bother to see what club he's useing

Purchase: Went to a local pro shop and demo'd this club.
Pros: I liked reminiscing about my childhood and the persimmon woods when listening to the crack of this driver upon impact.
Cons: First, I've got a fairly fast swing (120 mph) and I couldn't hit this club for the life of me. After about fifteen attempts, I swung as easy as possible and hit one about 230 (big deal). For the money this is a horrible deal. I've hit almost every driver out there and this one isn't among the top 20.
Quality: I didn't like the the way it looked when addressing the ball. Plain and simple ugly!

Review Summary: Different strokes for different folks...I'd prefer the VFT, Steelhead III, Tisi Tec, or the Adams 363 over this ugly beast.

Purchase: I will buy when wife is not looking.
Pros: The club had the feel that it would be easy to swing good balance. I like the large head it gave me the idea that I could hit the ball easy and not worry about if I was off a little bit. The club was verry verry easy to knock out of this world shots. If I miss hit it after looking at the young woman in front of me the club let me get away with it by giving me a not as good but not bad drive any way.
Cons: just a little longer would be nice but can't have it all.
Quality: Callaway has done a job on this club it looks and feels like what it costs.

Review Summary: I hit every driver in the pro shop thats alot of tapeing for the guys but I had to hit them all. this is the club I will buy! I want my ball in the farway I mean fairway as much as possable.
