Details: 10*, 44' Stiff Shaft
Purchase: I $249 for this club at Golf, Etc. in Omaha, NE. I bought it almost the day it came out, so I missed the $1 fairway wood deal. But I would never part with my current fairway woods anyway (review for another day). Pros: EVERYTHING! It ook a few minutes to gwet used to the look at address because of the wide but low clubface, but after feeling the ball leave the clubface, all is forgiven! It is the extreme opposite of the Nike SQ Sumo. This club is VERY quiet. VERY LONG, VERY STRAIGHT. Cons: OK, I have to put something in the CON section......The head cover is difficult to take off. Quality: Clubface reminds me of a fairway wood with its low, wide face. I think the stock shaft could be a little lighter. I believe this one is 65g. Could go a bit farther with a lighter shaft, but now I'm just getting greedy..... Review Summary: This club is very long and very forgiving. I know I sound like a commercial, but this club is worth every penny. Definitely the best driver I have ever hit. Period.

Details: 10* loft, Black head which is closed a few degrees at address. S flex Available in whole degree lofts, not 1/2* lofts as most drivers do.
Purchase: Went to a Demo day on Saturday. Wanted to try the new Diable driver to see how it compares to the FT-I Tour driver. Pros: The Diable is a 460CC driver and a decent size club face. Black top looks pretty standard. Cons: The face of this club is a few degrees closed, and it's easy to see it when you look down at the club behind the ball. It looks like the toe is sticking a bit forward compared to the heel. like the head is not symmetrical. Would take a lot of getting used to. Quality: Quality looks very good, The red trim and devil logo is a nice touch Review Summary: This is a good driver, and I hit it pretty well for a driver I haven't used before. Distance seems good. The factory shaft is very good, and should be fine for most golfers looking for a good driver. If you normally play a 10.5* driver, you'll have to decide if you want the 10* or the 11*, as they don't come in 1/2* lofts.
Forgiveness seems to be pretty good also. On 2009-04-26, srushing rated this Callaway Diablo a 5...(8333)
Details: Tested several, neutral bias, draw bias, 9degree, 10.5 degree, stiff flex, regular flex
Purchase: Demo days at my club. Driver $299 Pros: So I hit this after playing a round of golf and visited the Callaway demo day. I started with X 22 tour irons but switched to the drivers. I hit a variety of models before settling on the Diablo 10.5 degree stiff flex neutral bias driver. This one is not preset to a draw. With my current driver, Cobra Speed LD (which I love) my misses are draws/hooks. So with the help of the fitter, we worked around a number of combinations but liked the launch angle of the 10.5 degree and the nice straight drives of the neutral bias. Ths ball JUMPED off this driver and yes, I hit a couple nice gentle 5-10 yard fades, but the only big slice I hit was due to me sliding out in front during the swing. Otherwise, nice long shots were the results. This surprised me as previous neutral bias drivers I've hit were hard to control. but this was easy. Also, it' strangely quiet. Anything short of a jet engine would be quiet compared to the Cobra but this was sneaky quiet. But it performed. Cons: Nothing. Solid construction, great results. decent price especially with the current deal of a $1 fairwood with purchase of the driver Quality: top notch. Felt good and solid while swinging. Review Summary: Very nice driver. If you're in teh market, it's hard to beat the current deal. Given the length and the forgiveness, it's worth a look
