Details: Stiff shaft neutral
Purchase: Got the FTI for Christmas. Had tried it out at a demo day and loved it. Hit it probably 15 times and hit it straight each time. Even on miss hits it went straight.
Had to have it eventually. Pros: The club is incredibly light and fast thru the swing. I usually don't fall for the new club makes you longer type thing. This unit is getting me extra yards. Not sure exactly how many, but a few anyway. It is extremely straight. Can't go wrong with this club. Cons: Nothing. The loudness at impact is a good thing I think. Price was a factor, but when I saw it for 249 on sale, I went for it. Quality: Review Summary: Bottom line a great club. Worth every penny you pay for it.

Details: The driver's 9.5 helped me get the most out of my drive. IT had a stiff flex and i dont know the size of the club head.
Purchase: My driver broke on the golf course and my cousin let me us his and it was the best thing ive ever used before in my life. I think he paid 400 or 500 dollars for it. Pros: It had a good feel and ive never hit a ball so straight and so long. It had a really good look and nice sound. I wish i had this club in my bag. Cons: There is nothing i dont like besides that i dont have one. Quality: It was a FT-I with a 9.5 loft. Review Summary: It was the best club I've ever used and will ever use. It felt so smooth on the swing and the hit. It flew so straight and so far. I cant wait till i get one so i can improve my golf game and show off my golf game against other people my age and on other golf teams. On 2007-03-21, Terrya22 rated this Callaway FT-i a 5...(7689)
Details: Men's 10 degree Regular Flex Graphite Shaft Draw Bias
Purchase: I have been looking at alot of different drivers that would help me with my slice. I finally found the answer in the Callaway Fusion FT-i. This club is straight down the middle everytime. I tried hitting a slice and still...down the middle and long. Approx 10-15 yards longer than my Fusion FT-3... I aquired this club at Golfsmith for $499.00 Pros: This driver is long and straight. Even mis-hits are straight with alot of distance. It's hard to hit the ball bad. Cons: The sound takes getting use to...but it hits sweet. I can deal with the sound and the striaght long drives.
Quality: Very well made club with the weights on the outer portion of the club. Also nice to look at, color...etc etc Review Summary: If you are looking a driver to correct a slice or a hook, this is the one. I hit several balls on the driving range and each was down the middle...I then tried to hook the ball and slice the ball and I couldn't. It's a very easy hitting Driver for us weekend warriors. Details: 10 degree draw with stock stiff flex shaft.
Purchase: I went to the Golf Galaxy in Newport News, VA to be fitted for the club. I had known that I wanted the FT-i since it was first talked about so I got the $29.99 fitting. I spent about 30 minutes being fit. Since it is a new product there are not a lot of shaft options available right now. It's pretty much the regular and stiff flex on the Fujikura Speeder 586 shaft. More shafts will be available later on. I had concerns with only two shafts available spending that much money. The Golf Galaxy staff member fitted me with the 10 degree draw stiff flex club. I asked him to use the Opti-fit system that the FT-3 uses to see if we could get a different effect with different shafts. We pretty much came up with the stock Callaway stuff and I was happy. I have been told that the Opti-fit system will be available later on for both the FT-5 and FT-i. I also replaced the stock standard sized grip for a new 2007 Winn DSI mid sized grip. Big handsequalsbig grips. I did look at the Nike Sumo before getting the FT-i. The Sumo looks so much bigger then the FT-i. I wonder how you can swing it since it looks like a shoe box on the end of a shaft. That thing sounded like a shot gun going off when I hit it. Pros: I do like the sound of it. It sounds like nothing else on the course. I have played the club twice now and I get looks when I am on the tee box. I hit a natural slice/fade/cut with the big stick but today everything went straight. I am finding the middle of the club face 90% of the time. Even on my miss hits the balls went super far and straight. I used to have the Callaway X460 and this would not be possible with that club. I hit a couple of good 250 yeard drives in the cooler weather of North Carolina. I am looking forward to seeing what the club will do this summer. I use the Callaway HX Hot or Titleist NXT ball. That is what the club fitter recommended based on my spin. Cons: The price is the only thing that I did not like. I was able to trade-in and trade-up with Callaway and I got $130 for a two month old Callaway X460. That eased the pain a little bit. I also wish that it came in a 9 degree version. Better players will probably opt for the FT-5. Quality: The club feels super solid in my hands. The head of the club seems to weigh a little more then my X460. I absoletly LOVE the way that it feels in my hands with the Winn grip. I would highly recommend to anyone that does NOT play with me get one of these. If you play with me, I would ask you not to get one of these. Review Summary: I am now on the offense everytime I pull out the big stick. I am finally happy using a driver for a change. Seeing the club perform on a real driving range is the key. The simulutators are great to get you hooked but seeing is believing.
