Purchase: I bought this driver off of Callawaypreowned.com. I bought it because I wanted a new driver that had a titanium head that was large enough to half forgiveness. I paid $189 for this driver. I bought it slightly used. Pros: I love the Great Big Bertha's head shape and I like the way it sits behind the ball. It has great forgiveness, feel, and manuverability. I can shape shots with it and love to be able to pull it out of the bag and have enough confidence to make a solid swing. Cons: I do not like the shape of the face or the position of the sweet spot. The face of the Great Big Bertha 2 has an unusual tilt to it and it seems that the sweet spot is too close to the shaft. Never the less, it is fairly simple to adjust to the club and you shouldn't have to tinker with it too much. Quality: This unit was made with a titanium face and head with the face being milled. This unit is very durable and doesn't wear as much as most drivers after they have been used for 30+ rounds. This club doesn't scratch easily and it was assembled with great care. I have not had a problem with the condition of the club. Review Summary: This driver should help anyone who is looking for a quality driver at a very reasonable price. I bought the driver thinking that it would contribute to the improvement of my game and it might have or it might not have, but I have confidence when I use it and it has great feel. This is one of the only clubs I am not afraid to hit in pressure situations. On 2004-05-01, waz rated this Callaway Great Big Bertha 2 a 5...(3577)
Purchase: i borrowed it from the local pro at my course at tuggerah lakes and liked it so im going to buy it for $600 Pros: well when i went to the driving range i had one hit then felt how soft it was on the face and it makes you follow through but you dont have to swing quick and hard to get the feeling of hitting a club its always their Cons: the only thing i dont like would that its way to expensive for me Quality: its a very big club so you get alot of ball on it all the time Review Summary: On 2004-04-02, Travis Ulberg rated this Callaway Great Big Bertha 2 a 5...(3265)
Purchase: I paid 360$ for this driver and it is by far the best investment that I have ever made. I got this wonderful piece of work online for the hottest deal possible. I love Callaway and just decided to stick with it, Pros: I live the way it looks as you set it on the ground and the lie that it gives off. It is an 8.5 degree and it rockets off of the club like I were shooting a gun. I used to hit the ball around 260 to 270 left or right before i got this and now im hitting it 280 to 290 down the center consistantly. Cons: The only thing that I did not like about the club itself is how unforgiving the club is. I like a challenge but if you heal it a little bit the ball shows it. Quality: I dont know how Callaway does it but they keep getting better with everything that they make, Review Summary: I love this club!!
