On 2003-07-21, Personwhoshoots70s rated this Callaway Original Steelhead Driver a 5...(1849)

Purchase: I needed a new driver, I was thinking about going with the Taylor Made 200 Ti which was very popular at the time but I decided to go with the cheapher Callaway Steelhead. I paid 100$ at Nevada Bobs Golf.
Pros: It may be small but it can hammer the ball just about as far the big drivers. Ex I normally hit 255 with this driver, I demoed the new R580 and I hit 275 so there isn't a whole lot of difference. Very forgiving club, if you hit the ball almost anywhere on the face it will go far and straight, even when you duff it you'll still get like 100-175 yards.
Cons: Sometimes very easy to slice or hook even when very slightly miss hit, but when hit well shots are always very good.
Quality: Great quality, even after a year or golfing every day looks just like new.

Review Summary: If your looking for a cheap driver that has quality go with the oriiginal steelhead. DONT go with any other steelhead they are all very unforgiving and overall bad clubs.
