On 2006-01-29, Left in Virginia rated this Callaway Great Big Bertha II 3 Wood a 5...(6633)

Details: Standard length and reg. flex with this stick. Not sure on the loft Maybe around 13 to 16 degrees.

Purchase: Bought this club on Ebay. Got tired of waiting for the R580 3 woods to come down in price, which they never did. Not going to pay over $100.00 for a used 3 wood. Paid $60.00 for a almost new Callaway GBBII 3 wood with headcover.
Pros: I call this club my MINNIE ME DRIVER. What do I like about this club? I like the fact that I FINALLY have a 3 wood I can trust. Had a Golfsmith 3 wood and some different Tightlies in the past but couldn't hit them far or trust it to go where I wanted it to. This club has a Titanium face and it flies and goes straight. Pretty offset so I don't have to worry about squaring the face. It looks like a small driver. Very tall for a 3 wood and wide. Just looking at it gives me confidence. The only thing I have to do is keep my feet planted during my swing. You know when you kill it by the sound, typical titanium sound. Mis-hits don't put me in big trouble, maybe just off the fairway. I normally fly 200+ yards, pretty wet this time of year so no roll, can't wait for the summer.
Cons: My 5 iron hates this club. This club has replaced my 3,4,and 5 irons. Nothing I dislike about this club, just took me way too long to get one in my bag.
Quality: Top notch. Nice color, the graphite shaft is pretty stiff. Titanium face. Offset. Great for my game.

Review Summary: Titanium fairway woods are the next big thing. Easy to hit and great distance is what this club is about. No more laying up with a 5 Iron. I have taken it to the practice range and couldn't hit it off the mat, only grass, not sure why but I was fading it something horrible. But once on the course I was smashing it staight.
