Purchase: I bought this baby at Dick's Sporting Goods for $100.00 US.
Pros: The feel, setup, ease-of-swing, and sound were exemplary. Like all Callaway clubs, beginners (which I am not) will love them. That said, I'm a fairly experienced player (about 5 years) and I decided to get a fairway wood that I didn't have to work too hard to hit well. This one fit the bill.
Cons: I swing pretty fast, around 108-111, and because Callaway decided to use Variable Face Thickness technology (read: another cost-saving measure), I had a bad habit of caving the faces in on them. The reason? Well, toe and heel shots WILL be penalized in the long run because of the thinness of the face in these areas. Admittedly, this was a swing flaw on my part, but even still Callaway should know their core customers by now (i.e. senior citizens, kids, beginners), and should construct their clubs accordingly. What I mean is, Callaway shouldn't build clubs that are thin in the face for the simple reason that shots struck in those areas (like the ones hit by beginners) will eventually cave in. Aside from that, it's a real demon of a club and sneaky long. Par 5's beware!!!
Quality: Overall, I was very pleased with it. I especially like the subdued blue that Callaway used for the crown color. I wonder if that decision was based on the fact that blue relaxes people?

Review Summary: In summation, I was very pleased with it. Stainless steel is a bit different than the overused titanium out there, and I was happy with the club while I had it. I just couldn't stay with it because of the face-thickness thing, and went with a Big Bertha fairway wood instead (new BB, not the old ones).

Purchase: Bought this for myself for my birthday for $140 shipped off Ebay, brand new. I demo'ed one of these and loved the look, weight and feel, so I had to have one.
Pros: I love the small steelhead design. The weight also feel great when you give it a good rip. Callaway always does a great job with paint, and the Steelhead III looks great like it should. This club sounds awesome when struck solidly. You get a nice ting to it when you knock one out there. This club flat-out performs! Solid shots are long-bombs and mis-hits don't stray too far from their intended target. Off the tee, this club will put the ball where you want it and from the fairways.. well, let me put it this way: when you can hit a green from 230yds out and have only 15 feet remaining for your eagle... who would NOT want to try this club???? =D
Cons: If my swing is off, (I tend to sway forward towards my toes), I'll hit shanks off the heel all day since the club is so small. It's not really a problem though, my swing is! =P
Quality: Callaway quality through-and-through. Great, solid club.

Review Summary: These fairway woods are without a doubt the best I have EVER tried. (I've hit Taylormade, Titleist, and a few others) The Cally SHIII blows them out of the water. They are very consistent, dispersion is tight, and the trajectory jsut works from wherever you are. Absolutely an asset to anyone's bag!

Purchase: I got this steel head III w/ a reg steel shaft at a Las Vegas Golf store in which i traded a Titliest 975F 13.5 degree steel shaft and added 80 dollars for this brand new club!! I was hitting the 975 inconsistently and felt like this was more solid and comfortable!
Pros: It has a very solid feel....although i am sacrificing some distance on a steel shaft.....being in the fairway 90 percent of the time is a lot better than longer and in the rough!!! I can control shots with this a lot more...and it gives me a natural draw on my normal shots!!
Cons: THE PRICE!!!!
Quality:

Review Summary: It has average length...but the important thing its easier to hit and keeps you in the fairway!!!!
