Purchase: I purchased this club at a specialty golf shop called Colorado Ski and Golf. I bought it because of the Callway name. I paid $150.00
Pros: I loved the feed back in gave when you hit the sweet spot on the club. The dark blue finish gave it an original look. The club was very light and easy to line up.
Cons: The club is only a year old and already Ive had to replace the Shaft, grip and have caved the face of the club in. I have talked to another golfer who said that he too had caved the face in on a Callaway Steelhead Plus driver.
Quality: The construction was very well done. The quality isn't very good due to the fact that I had to replace the shaft and the face caved in.

Review Summary: The bottom line is this is a great club if your swing speed is below 90 mph. Something that Callway fails to mention.

Purchase: I was play an old McGregor for driver. Since I couldn't really control the driver that well, I decided to spend my money on a good 3 wood. I got the Steelhead Plus 3 Wood at Nevada Bob's. The stick's a few years old, so it sold for CAN$179 brand new. No headcover though.
Pros: The first thing that caught my attention was the beautiful shape of the head. It just made me want to hit it. Also, the deep dark blue color of the head was very enticing. Before this, I had never hit Callaway. They really have a nice classic design. Hitting the 3 wood is great. The more I hit it, the more confidence I get. I'm getting much more accuracy than my driver, yet I'm only losing a few yards. I gotta work on my driver skills, but with this stick I know I'm not at a disadvantage. The club also makes a great sound...it sounds like a SNIP from a pair of sissors. I feel like I'm cutting the fairway in half when I use it. What was great was the last time I went on the course with my Steelhead. Two guys joined me and my buddy...one guy was all talk. He was bragging about his gear and his game. He teed up with his driver, and though I wanted to shut him up, I decided to go with 3 wood just to stay in play. He made a decent shot middle of the fairway, but I took my 3 wood and hit it past him 5-10 yards. It happened a few times that day. Great way to shut up a guy like that.
Cons: The only thing I didn't like was that the club had no headcover that came with it. I guess that's what happens when you buy an older model club sometimes. But this club is totally worth it.
Quality: Quality is good. The finish on the club is flawless and so far nothing has gone wrong. Not much else to say.

Review Summary: If you're struggling with driver like I am, put your money on a 3 wood. And if you want a good hot faced, fun club to hit, then this Callway Steelhead Plus is the club to get. The sleek look and easiness of the club inspires a sense of confidence everytime you hit it.
