Purchase: I recently purchased a set of Woods (1,3,5) for 275 dollars. I searched around here in Corpus Christi for a better deal, but CallawayGolfPreowned.com had the best deal by far. I called the factory or store to see what they could do for me. Originally, the set was going to be $295, but the salesman come down for me to $275, which was great and the shipping was cheap, because it was here in Texas. They also gave me the head covers and tees for free, which I know the tees are cheap, but the head covers are sometimes a little expensive. Pros: I love hitting the woods off the fairway or even in small rough. I am much more accurate with my 3 an 5-woods than my irons. They are small and very forgiving, if you have a pretty good swing. Swing is everything of course, but the clubs do help. I have tried different woods, and I am really pleased with the Callaway Steelhead Plus's. They have helped me out and put me on the green or next to the green on long Par 5's. I would not trade them for anything. "Why fix what is not broken". Cons: I love them. A little heavier than most woods, but they are really awesome woods. My friends agree with me as well. They are pretty hacked off about spending the money for Nike and Taylor Made woods, especially the price difference. Quality: All Callaway construction. Uniflex steel shafts, which I like the steel shafts more than graphite (personal choice). Callaway grips, which are pretty nice. The loft on my 3-wood is 15 degrees and my 5-wood is 18 degrees. Very nice looking clubs. They look and feel great everytime I play. Review Summary: For any player that is serious or just enjoys the game, these are a great investment for the average golfer not looking to spend a whole lot of money. There may be better clubs out there, but consider my thoughts about these woods.
