Details: I went a half inch long in the shaft and 2 degrees upright. Wide sole.
Purchase: I read the review in golf digest on the callaway fusion irons and went to a local demo days to hit them and I also hit the wide sole and loved them, I bought 8 irons, 4 thru sand wedge and paid 1176.00 with tax from pro golf discount.
Pros: I have been playing ping eye 2 Berrillum copper clubs for over 20 years and have never liked any thing until I hit these clubs. They are very forgiving and just beautiful to look at. I have hit bad shots that should have went no where and still made the shot. These are great irons and I would recomend any one looking for a set of irons to give them a try.
Cons: I purchased a 4 thru sand wedge and if I hade to do over I may have bought a 3 thru pitching wedge, or maybe 4 thru pitching wedge and added a hybrid and a voleky sand wedge.
Quality: I have only played 7 or 8 rounds and they seam to be of great quality. Review Summary: If they fall into your price range they are great clubs and you owe it to your self to give them a try.

Purchase: I bought these irons new from a dealer. I had heard that they were very solid from a scratch friend of mine. I paid $1000
Pros: Trajectory is good - not much else.
Cons: Very small sweet spot - very unforgiving. Coming from X-12's, which are forgiving, I was very disappointed.
Quality: These have firm graphite shafts and appear blade-like, even though I know they are supposed to be very game improvement oriented. Review Summary: I don't like these irons at all - I am going back to my X-12s On 2004-11-12, RickinTexas rated this Callaway Fusion a 1...(4766)
Purchase: Did not acquire. Tested at store/range.
Pros:
Cons: What an AWFUL product. I've owned Callaway irons for years and was hopeful the new Fusion irons would be what I was looking for to replace my old X-12's. WRONG.
Hit it on the sweetspot and the feel, trajectory, and distance are fine. It it on the toe or low on the face and the iron almost vibrates out of you hands. Mishits are awful. Callaway really stuck out on this product.
Quality: Standard Callaway. Review Summary: Callaway had better get its act together or they will go the way of Wilson.
