Purchase: I was using Nike Sling Shots and needed a change to a more workable club that was still a game improvment club. I did the online fitting at Golfsmith. After the Winn grip up grade and rifle shafts, I paid $1150.00 after tax.
Pros: After being extremley worried about spendind $1150 on clubs from only swinging them once in a golf store, I have been fortunate that these are the best clubs that I've owned yet. I have had them for 7 months and they feel great and are very rewarding for a relaxed controlled tempo. I have always hated the dreaded vibration when you swing just a little to hard, and these clubs eliminate that. These clubs are pretty sweet at address. They look like a blade, but without the small sweet spot on contact. I would not recommend these clubs for someone who is looking for a very forgiving club with major game improvement. These clubs were perfect for me at the time where my swing and confidence were good but I was learning workability and needed just a little forgivness. Within the last 2 months my GHIN Handicap has averaged at 83. On 6-9-06 I got my first hole in one, with a perfect swing.
Cons: THE PRICE! Let me tell you, if you can go out and swing a demo set first, do it. If you like them I would highly recommend you get fitted somewhere.
Quality: Constuction and Quality are nice. They are definatley a quality club and look great in the bag. Are they worth a $1000.00 bucks, probably not, but what club really is?

Review Summary: The bottom line is that yes they are a great club and Callaway has not forged us on technology. I like them. They have helped me take my game from a 91 to an 83 GHIN average. Even with the price being so high, I would probably buy them again if they were lost or stolen or consider purchasing the Callaway Tour. But I think that I would actually miss them.
