Purchase: All of you ladies out there, i'm sure you had the same problems as me when you took your first swing. We kept missing the target. No matter how hard we tried to focus and concentrate as soon as we took a swing, the golf just stays right where it's at. Finally after all that embarrassment you manage hit the ball, but it's just never straight. Soon enough you will find the next 2 stalls by you sides empty because your balls are flying there. Well I stop playing after the first few times i tried, just can't seem to get passed that stage. I was just randomly surfing the Callaway site and i stubled upon the new GES design SPECIFICALLY for ladies. Well i ended up buying the set because it came in such darling colors of white and silver, and of course it's design SPECIFICALLY for us. I purchased it for $499 from Golfsmith.
Pros: Callaway has really proven themselves once and again, they remembered there are female beginners out there and the GES is design for people like us, it gave me tremendous confidence in my game. I thought i might be spoiled with the wide forgiving areaon the head, but i was wrong because the transition from GES to middle handicap clubs is rather smooth.
Cons: The down point of it all? Ges is currently not manufacturing a lefthand set. The bag is rather small too.
Quality: The Ges is a 7 club set compared to the 14 limit, honestly i don't really know why golfers carry a whole 14 with them, i hardly see them use all of them none other than the 7 (3 wood, 3 iron and a putter) different clubs that GES is offering in this package. It doesn't come with all that confusing numbers cause all it tells you it's the mid or long iron and clubs. Once you sooth into the GES transition to a complete set of clubs for a higher grade makes a lot less confusing. The putter has a alignment which makes it a lot easier to putt. You will find out more of the technical details on the Callaway site. I am telling you more from the beginners point of view the clubs fits you like nothing else ever will.
Review Summary: To all of you out there who are looking to improve you game as a beginner or if you want to start today, Callaway's new prodigy the GES is the perfect set of clubs for you to begin with.
