Purchase: I got these at an estate sale for $100.00, what a find! I don't know who ya were, pal, but God bless!
Pros: This is a very fogiving set of irons, yet has performance characteristics for the better player. Less offset than the regular x-14's lets me work the ball. Constant weight rifle shafts make the transition from short to long clubs less noticeable and help you make the same swing each time.
Cons: Great clubs, no complaints.
Quality: Even though they were "previously owned" they still look great. Not sure how old they are, but I've had them for two years and they really haven't shown that much wear despite about 100 rounds of use.
Review Summary: Solid clubs. Forgiving for those not so crisp shots. I hit these about 15 yards longer than my knock offs that I had. I have been very pleased with these, and look forward to trying newer Callaway irons when the pocketbook allows!

Purchase: Purchased a set at Golfsmith a few weeks ago. I traded in a set of Armour 855s that I could never really hit well and Golfsmith gave me a great trade in plus a $50 rebate so I ended up paying less than $400 for a brand new set!! They also have a 90 day playability guarantee program that allows you to trade in the set of clubs you bought and you get 90% of what you paid (the actual price of the clubs) towards the purchase of another set! That way you can try the clubs out and really see if they are for you!
Pros: The first thing that caught my eye was the appearance of the clubs! They are definitely a work of art and stand world's apart from some of the other clubs I saw in the same class..I always knew Callaway was a top notch brand but little did I realize what a great set of clubs these would turn out to be! Right out the box I was hitting them longer than my 845s! They inspire confidence at address and just feel great when you hit them flush!
Cons: n/a
Quality: They come with the contant weighted steel rifle shafts which offer just the right amount of control to your shot. I feel I'm much more accurate with these irons and look forward to pulling the trigger! The clubhead is a work of art and the topline and offset are just right! I like the slight offset for straighter shots..I almost went with a set of Taylormade 320s but I'm so glad I decided on these. The standard grips are very nice and hey...Charles Howell III played with them before he switched to the x16s..that's enough for me!!
Review Summary: Wonderful set of game improvement clubs!! If you can get a great deal like myself they are definitely worth it!! It has gotten me really excited about playing and I love going out now and hitting these irons!! It's great fun..especially when you hit a killer shot!!
