Purchase: I was looking to replace my 14 year old callaway s2h2's and after testing a few different irons settles on the X-16's. I paid $680.00 for the custom steel shaft 3-pw. Pros: I have played them 3 times and have already dropped strokes from my game. They are deadly accurate and forgiving and I have felt comfortable attacking more pins dues to the high flight and spin. I was a PW from 150 yards and though I can only hit the new PW 135 it is more likely to be accurate. Cons: I haven't found anything I don't like about them yet, maybe after a few more rounds I will find something. Quality: After a swing test it was decided that I needed 1 degree upright and 1/2 inch longer steel shafts. Very sound and solid feeling club. Review Summary: I would recommend these clubs to any mid to high handicapper who is looking for more accuracy. I am a 12 handicap but I know that will be coming down soon.

Purchase: I tried these out at my local pro shop. I wanted to try the clubs Golf-Gear-Review claimed to be giving away on April 30, 2004. Pros: Very forgiving. Easy to hit. High trajectory. Thick topline inspires confidence. Cons: Golf Gear Review refuses to announce a winner for their X-16 irons contest despite many faithful reviewers submitting their content. Quality: Very nice. Cast club head should last for many years. Review Summary: These are great clubs. If Golf-Gear-Review really did give away a set of these to someone, they got themselves a real great set. It would be a shame for Golf-Gear-Review to lose the trust of the reviewers which they rely upon to provide the content for their site. If I were them, I would at minimum post an update as to their contest status. Better yet, keep drawing names until a winner responds. On 2004-04-23, Alex rated this Callaway X-16 a 5...(3488)
Purchase: I first sampled these clubs at a Callaway Golf demo. I immediatly liked the feel, the swing weight and of course the looks. So I told the Demo guy to prepare me a set with +1 inch shafts and paid $850 Pros: Shot distance has increased dramatically without compromising accuracy. Cons: Absolutely nothing Quality: Great quality and durability. Review Summary: Theses clubs have dramatically improved my game bringing my handicap down to 8 from 17. I thouroughly suggest a purchase of this item. On 2004-03-25, AA rated this Callaway X-16 a 5...(3188)
Purchase: Golfdom $900 Pros: Here are the set of irons I have been searching for. This is my first set of Callaways after the last 5 seasons I played Cleveland TA-7's, Ping i3 and i3 +'s. This set is quite a nice balance of distance with proper trajectory and sizziling accuracy. The stock graphite shafts are nicely suited for my moderate smooth tempo swing. I am a 7 handicap who could hit forged blade irons, but why when this set gives such a more rounded performance. The feel when hit off the sweetspot is solid, and mis hits are quite playable. I thought it would be hard to knock the PINGS out of the bag, but this latest set of Callaway's did it. Expensive, but worth the money.
Cons: Nothings Quality: Total Quality Review Summary: I would not pass these up. On 2004-02-06, AMoris rated this Callaway X-16 a 5...(2752)

Purchase: I bought these clubs at the local golf store. I paid $630 for them. My Dads old Yonex just didn't cut it for me. They were graphite ones and they just were too soft. Pros: These irons are just great they thats all I can say. I mean when you take a hack at the ball, the impact is soo soft and crisp. I went from a 15 handicap to a 6 handicap just by switching to these. Cons: The downside about these clubs are 1. Nothing, 2. Nothing again, and 3. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!. I LOVE THESE CLUBS!!! Quality: Review Summary: The bottom line is if you would like to lower those scores and make your golfing experience a little better and more enjoyable.. $600 is worth a shot to the PGA :) On 2003-05-22, N. Purchase: I traded my titelist DCI 762's and 375 dollars at a local golf shop. Pros: Late 2001 I fell victim to a salesman needing to sell a set of clubs. Not being a very educated consumer I bought a set of titelist DCI 762's. I have nothing bad to say about the DCI's except that they are blades and I am not a low hanicap player. When I did my research and purchased my set of Callaway X-16 steel shaft irons I was a very happy golfer. Do you ever feel like when you get done playing a round of golf that you have turned what is supposed to be fun into work? This is how I felt. THe X-16's are very easy to swing and do most of the work for you. I have never hit the ball so straight and consistant. I have played 3 rounds now with the irons and I have easily taken 5-7 strokes off my game. I never thought that my clubs were the problem. Boy was I sadly mistaken. These irons are a must. Cons: Find a comforatable grip that fits your hand. I had my clubs custom made for me because I'm tall. I did not put a lot of thought into the grip. I went with standard grips. I wish I would have chose a different grip. Quality: The craftsmen ship is an A in my book. The heads of the clubs are very meaty and the shafts are solid. Review Summary: If you are a golfer looking to shave strokes off your game and be able to compete with your friends, you must by what I call the "lifesaver".
