Purchase: Broke my Lynx 7-iron and decided that it was about time for a new set of clubs. Purchased from Golfsmith in Austin for $699. Tried asking for a discount, but they wouldn't budge, but neither would any other shop in town.
Pros: Finally came to the conclusion that I don't play enough to warrant clubs that I could grow into (i.e. forged irons). Compared the X-16's to the X-14's. X-14's were $200 cheaper. Not much difference between the two on the range. I just like the looks of the X-16's more than the X-14's.
Cons: The sunken cavity back looks cool, but dirt and grass collects here. A good cleaning is in order after every round. A good can of compressed air couldn't hurt either.
Quality: Very good looking clubs. The brushed steel look is very nice. Actually better looking than the polished look of the VFT's.

Review Summary: Very straight shots with these clubs. The steel shafts are much more consistent than the graphites (never much cared for Callaway graphites). Distance is slightly better than average. Workability is not the easiest with these clubs, but ease of hitting the ball is the goal of these clubs.
