Purchase: My excellent friend Andy gave it to me, along with a used Nicklaus N1 3-wood. You guys call 'em 'spoons', no?
Pros: It is, simply put, the best 6-iron I've ever hit. Cleans up nice after I chili-dip huge divots from my lawn (I'm guessing 'Tour Stiff' might be a little ambitious for someone who took his first golf swing last week)... Hasn't fallen apart yet!
Cons: There's nothing I don't like about this club. Except how I don't seem to be able to hit the ball straight. Picked up a copy of McCord's "Gold For Dummies" at my local library, that pretty much exonerates the club, anyway.
Quality: Nice straight shaft, head's glued on solid, grip's a little worn... the guy who had this before me must've practiced a lot.

Review Summary: When my friend Andy came by last week with the used Callaway and a used 3-wood, it brought back memories of Dad, the driving range, and no ice-cream on the way home. But I gave it whack anyway, and boy, did it feel good! Can one learn to play golf well at age 40? Next week: I review the 3-wood. Stay tuned!
