On 2005-08-01, Mr_Divots rated this Callaway Big Bertha Heavenwood 20* a 5...(5981)

Purchase: Purchased at Golf Galaxy. Traded in my Rescue Mid to lessen the "ouch" factor. These are $179.99 right now. I had broken the steel shaft in my Rescue Mid 19* and had it reshafted, but it just didn't feel the same anymore. It was time for a new "go-to" club.
Pros: Very easy to get airborn. The head design is like a small fairway wood and is easy to line up. Classic Callaway "Ting" at impact feels wonderful and sounds great. Went with the "firm" flex in graphite. My driver swing is 108 MPH so I was a bit hesitant, but my demo of the club had me hitting it very straight, so I paid no attention to the flex. People often knock Callaway's stock shafts, but it feels pretty good to me. Launches the ball nice and high yet with authority.
Cons: The grip that came with it is OK but it feels pretty big, almost about a midsize. I might get it re-gripped with a smaller grip so I can turn it over more easily, but that's about it.
Quality: Classy Callaway fit and finish. Their customer service is so good I don't give it a second thought buying a Callaway product (no I don't work for them.) Finally a decent headcover with a sock for the shaft! Looks like it performs- which is excellent.

Review Summary: This is an excellent long iron/ 5 wood alternative. Easy to get airborn. Quality construction. Pleasing sound and feedback. Ability to work the ball with it. Definitely the easiest hybrid I have used. Previously owned Rescue Mid 19* and briefly owned Sonartec MD 21*, and the Callaway is like swinging on autopilot in comparison. Doesn't tend to hook the ball like the Rescue Mid did. Highly recommend this club!
