Purchase: I bought a 8.5 degree Cleveland Launcher 460 stiff Fujikara shaft used off ebay. Had been playing a Taylor-Made 580 10.5 degreee stiff but had a problem with ballooning the ball. Could hit the TM 270 but the ball seemed to travel way too high. Was playing with a friend and he got me to try his 9.5 degree launcher and it had a much nicer ball flight though still a little too high. A week later I saw a used 8.5 degree on ebay and picked it up for $158. Been hitting it for 3 weeks now and have picked up close to 30 yds. (Local course has 2 300 yd holes and I am now usually green high with my drives.) Pros: The Cleveland seems to help me keep my fade from turning into a slice. Nice feel and good feedback from the shaft. Cons: Could use some type of aiming device as I find the top groove on my old Taylor-Made much easier to align with. Quality: Construction and quality are good. Review Summary: Nice club that did help my distance

Purchase: Bought at Dick's Sporting Goods for $200. Pros: I love the feel of the club. It feels light but very sturdy. It's appearance is appealing, too. The club face is huge, and it takes some getting used to before you can really start to hit it. It took me a couple of trips to the range to learn how to hit this club properly.
My carry distance has increased by at least 30 yards. With my old driver, I could not hit the base of the fence (about 250 yards) on the fly. My first good drive with the Launcher sent the ball about 2/3 of the way up the net, which I estimate to be a 280 yard carry. Cons: Nothing. Quality: Review Summary: I'm very satisfied with this club. This driver, as well as the Cleveland 588 wedges I recently acquired, have greatly impressed me. They make excellent golf equipment. Purchase: Read about the 460 in Gold Digest. I acquireed the unit because I drive the ball high, and the 460 is supposed to promote less backspin; thus, the ball will travel farther, especially into the wind. I paid $299. Pros: I really like the way the club sets up at address. It's not like the typical oversize driver. The tendency to swing hard is negated due to the comfortable, traditioanl feel of the driver. Also, with the Cleveland 460 I can actually work the ball. With many oversize drivers I've tried in the past, working the ball left-to-right or right-to-left wan an afterthought! Great driver for the value!!! Cons: The only thing I really dislike about the unit is the headcover. It is entirely too small. I feel like I'm going to jerk the head off the driver when I remove the headcover. Quality: Oustanding quality. The stock fujikara (sp) graphite shaft is perfect for the oversized head. Review Summary: Bottom line...great bang for the buck! Cleveland isn't setting any standards from a technology standpoint, but they are setting the standard in regards to HIGH QUALITY AFFORDABLE golf clubs! Purchase: at Ironman G.C. Detroit Lakes, Mn $270 Pros: Easy to hit and light weight Cons: Easy also to mis hit Quality: used one week perfect condition Review Summary: the launcher is a great non expensive club On 2004-07-27, Bonehead rated this Cleveland Launcher 460 a 5...(3948)
Purchase: Nevada Bob's - Surrey BC $450.00 Canadian Pros: I purchased the 460 with a 9.5 degree loft/stiff shaft in march of this year and have been thrilled with the performance of the club. My partners purchased Callaway and Cobra products and I consistently outdrive them. The large head is very forgiving, off-center hits still travel a long way. This driver has enabled me to groove a slower more accurate tempo and still leave the rest of the foursome 20 yds behind. Cons: Only complaint is the shaft color, not a big fan of gold. Quality: 1st rate construction. Review Summary: Excellent distance, very forgiving on mishits. Workable both directions. On 2004-04-19, sam franzo rated this Cleveland Launcher 460 a 5...(3418)
Purchase: Golfer's Warehouse $279.00. I was fitted on the lauch monitor for $50.00. They then deducted the $50.00 from the purchase of the driver. Total cost $279.00. Pros: The Cleveland 460 driver is everything and more as advertised. It is long and straight. I have tried alot of drivers including, Taylormade, Titlest, Calaway but none compared to the Cleveland 460. I tried it for the forst time on the course yesterday and hit almost every fairway with good distance. I shot my best round on the course. I would recommend this driver to any player. Cons: Nothing. Quality: Excellent quality. Head and shaft design excellent. Easy to hit and straight and long. Review Summary: Try it and you will be amazed. Purchase: Purchased the Launcher 460 from Great Golf Deals for 249.00, new, with no shipping charge. Pros: I'm currently a thirteen handicap. I have been playing the Titliest 975 JVS. I was plenty long, but, had no consitency with the JVS. It was costing at least 3 strokes a side.
Tested the Launcher, 10.5 Gold Stiff Shaft, and found it to be longer, 10 yards or so, that the JVS and forgiving in the extreme. There is no need to hold back when teeing off with the Launcher, just let it rip. My mishits are still in the fairway or at worst in the rough, though never out of play.
No need for some fancy shaft, just use a high quality ball and you'll be in for a treat. Cons: The head cover color's match nothing. Quality: Review Summary: Long. Straight. Easy to hit. Confidence inspiring. Workable. Allows use of higher spin balls. On 2004-02-03, L. Sykkmon rated this Cleveland Launcher 460 a 5...(2724)
Purchase: Friends have been telling me about Cleveland products. Also I subscribe Golf Magzine and Golfdigest read about it.
I brought the drive because it's not as expensive as other name brands. It delivery the same great quality and results as the bigger names.
I brought it from Edwin Watts Golf. I paid $299.00 plus tax. I've been playing golf for 7 years now. I must say that I find my DRIVER. I love it. Pros: I love the way it looks. It looks simple and very comfortable at address. It is 460cc so it's big, but it doesn't look big at address. I know I wouldn't miss the ball knowing the size is there. Good sound off the face, very traditional. I hit it big. That's all it matters. And the miss hits are very forgiving. I can always find the ball. It's never too far in the woods. I tell my friend the Cleveland 460 is a max out club. The golf shaft makes it look stand out. I like that. Cons: What I don't like about the unit? Nothing at this point. Quality: I am no rocket scientist. So I really don't know much about construction. But I know it's promising quality because it shows me the way. Besides I trust that Cleveland puts their upmost attention to their fine line. It's a beautiful club. One more thing. I do think that the shaft fits the head well. Review Summary: Ok I am a 10 hcp. But before the 460 I was at 15 or 17. So if you are a weekend golfer like me. 460 no questions ask, it's a must have. I know it's got a boring ball fly but who cares. The ball is in the fairway. and it's 7-pw distance to the green most of the time. So what more do you want!
