Details: Standard lie and loft, steel shafts.
Purchase: Got these irons off eBay, used and in excellent condition. Paid about $280 for 3-pw. I've consistantly had good experiences using eBay for golf equipment buying and selling. I've read that I should get fitted for clubs and that's probably so. However, I'm really average height, build and arm length (not to mention on a limited budget) so club fitting is less of a priority. Pros: Been playing Ping ISI-Ks for several years and decided to make a change. Read reviews on here and other places and thought the CG2 might work for me. They do. Great feel when I strike the ball. Slight gain in distance. Look great in the bag, in my hands and at address. Love the feel and I'm learning to work the ball. Cons: So far all's good. Have not found anything negative about them. Quality: These clubs are really well made and beauties to look at. Great weight and balance. Feel great throughout my swing. I know when I miss the sweet spot but it's not painful. Review Summary: Great move for me to these irons. I wanted to move my game up a notch and have. My short iron play has seen the greatest improvement. I recommend these to mid-handicappers, you'll be pleased.

Purchase: Ebay, a steal at $345 brand new for 3-PW. Pros: The CG2 irons set up to the ball great, top line not to thin, definately not too thick, smaller clubhead than I have been used to, CMM steel has great feel. Easy to keep the face square, just a little offset, very naturally straight irons, but workability is there.... interesting finish, good looking, serious looking. Cons: This is a transition iron in my opinion from game improvement to players club, and leans towards players club. Good not great forgiveness, which is just right... helps get you to the next level. No real complaints, great sticks! Quality: Top notch, the carbon metal matrix steel is the real thing, feels soft, some might think muted, I think the feel is great. Review Summary: I have hit many many irons, these are up near the top, really a nice iron, just right for me trying to get down below a 5 hdcp. Game improvement irons, like the Wishon 752TC are just great, but to really get after it, I think a players iron is needed... this iron really increases your focus, and rewards it bigtime. Purchase: Bought these at Golf Smith, trading my TA-1s in...I liked my TA1s but only get out once a week these days and liked the idea of a little more forgiveness.
I had originally gone in to buy the new Wilson top line cavity backs because my best irons to date (for me) were a set of Staff RMs, a forged cavity back. They were long and straight and I played my best golf with them.
I had gone to Golf Galaxy and got on the simulator...The Wilsons were too high a trajectory for me..The 6 iron was topping out at 165-175 with a little ballooning...That's normally a easy 7 iron for me. The guy there gave me three other 6 irons, a Taylor Made, Nike and the Cleveland...The Clevelands ball flight was far superior, a boring powerful trajectory that ranged from 177-195 over 20 balls with a very tight, predictable grouping. Pros: The CG2s were very easy to work with for a cavity back. A repetitive nice draw with great distance and feel. I was able to club myself accurately and played the best iron games in 3 years with them.
The setup is inspiring with a thinner top line and a normal sized head, not an oversized, unworkable look.
These give me the confidence to start looking at getting back into the 70s. Cons: The only thing I don't like is that it accentuates my inconsistency with my driver accuracy wise, since the irons are easy to dial in. Quality: Love the looks, although looks like they may ding up easily...I take good care of my clubs and the metal appears to be pretty soft..That's not a negative, since I love the response of them. Review Summary: Not for everyone. Normal irons I tend to hit high and lose distance as a result. The trajectory of the CG2s suit my game to a 'T'. Considerably long and confidence inspiring..Recommend them for the better player.

Went to the range yesterday to practice. Took the new 9.5* driver to test it out. I hit it a lot better than I figured I would with that factory insta
