Details: Stiff flex, fitting to my height 6'
Purchase: Acquired from a very generous friend for $300 used for two months lacking a 9 iron which I purchases for around 100 making grand total $400. Pros: All i can say is these irons rock, they keep a very consistant distance so i always end close to whole high get good spin when using a good ball on irons 7 - p and stoppage on mid irons and minimal roll with long irons. These clubs are very good, the forgiveness is what makes it a winner shots feel very good 9 out of 10 times. Ball flight is very good, word from the wise if you are not a 10 handicap or better dont put stress on yourself to hit the ball perfect on blades and stick to good forgiving clubs such as these. Cons: Very few... the carbon matrix metal scrathes easily, and the clubs are slightly thick for my liking. Quality: Perfect, wouldnt expect less from Cleveland Review Summary: Great clubs i fully recommend unless you are close to a scratch golfer because then i would use blades

Details: steel(regular) action lite shafts
Purchase: Bought these after reading many positive reviews in Golf Magazine and some other reviews on the internet.
Also I remembered hitting these at Golf Galaxy and that they had better feel than others.
Pd. $399. (ebay internet seller-buy it now) with a CG 11 wedge added! Pros: After playing with these yesterday for the first time I can honestly say I liked everything about them. I usually shoot 80-85 and shot a 75 yesterday and missed 4 puts inside 4 ft. and numerous 15 footers.
I particuarly liked the height I was getting as I was able to stop the ball much better than normal. Also the feel was much better than the other similar irons I had tried out. Cons: no negatives to speak of Quality: excellent- Great Look Review Summary: After having played these I am ecstatic as I hit almost every green in regulation and my iron game has always been a weakness.
Previously played Ping Eye 2 and Top Flite Tour irons.
Tried to rate these a 5 but could not due to your not having a 5 to check. On 2006-02-08, jake0716 rated this Cleveland CG4 a 5...(6648)
Details: got the 3-pw cg4's with reg flex true temper action lite shafts (which is the same shaft i use in my gap and sand wedges)
Purchase: i tried them out at a local sporting goods store and fell in love.
with the advice of some friends, i found them on the web for much cheaper. got the whole set with my shaft of choice for 489.00 plus shipping!! Pros: wow. pretty much everything.
great distance, great feel, great club.
progressive offset is nothing new, but the progressive cavity back is an idea more manufacturers should use. the long irons are very forgiving, while the mid and short irons and extremely accurate and workable. these irons give a great ball flight, provide plenty of forgiveness, and allow the ball to worked quite easily. Cons: only possible negative for me personally is with the long irons i need to make sure and give it a full swing or the ball flight can be too low. i think low swing speeds would probably want the graphite shafts to get the higher ball flight. Quality: fantastic. ive heard they can scuff up easily because of the cmm material used, but i havent had them long enough to see that.
im just being cautious with them just in case by using iron headcovers (despite all my buddies telling me how ridiculous that is!!) in between rounds to hopefully protect them. Review Summary: bottom line is that this is a club that can be played by anyone from a scratch to a 20 handicap.
as a current 12.1, theyre perfect for me because as i hopefully lower my scores these clubs will still work for me. On 2005-07-02, Marty rated this Cleveland CG4 a 5...(5791)
Purchase: Purchased these clubs from a local golf shop by trading in the Cleveland CG2. Cost would have been $700 but it was an almost even swap as the CG2's only had about 7 rounds on them. I just turned 50 and have been hitting DGS-300 for as long as I can remember. I purchased the CG2's and could not hit them at all. They went straight but no height and very little feel. I decided to try the CG4's with regular shafts. Pros: Great set up and feel, very easy to hit. First swing with a 9 iron almost holed out made birdie. Second swing on a par three from 150 right over the stick with an 8 iron from 150. Seventh hole 190 yard par three, 5 iron to 10 feet. What a great kick point. Sorry I didn't go to regular shafts a little sooner in my life. Cons: Nothing, clubs are perfect. Quality: Solid look, feel and grips. Review Summary: I have gone through Mizuno MP33's (loved them for years) Hogan FXT, Titelist blades, CG1, CG2. It was time to take it down a step and as a result I think I will go up a step!
