Purchase: I discovered that Cleveland was having a demo day at a local golf super store. At the time, I owned a set of TA'6 but still couldn't resist making the short drive to hit some new clubs and talk to the Cleveland reps. While looking at the various clubs they had to demo I ran across the launcher irons. I had seen pictures of the irons on the internet and was never really impressed with them. In person I noticed the deep cavity back and decided to give it a whirl. 20 minutes later I was asking the wife for permission and being fit for a new set that I took home the same day (gotta love the tech Vans). I paid $599.00 for a set of steel shaft 4 thru DW.
Pros: I've read a lot of reviews on various clubs and never thought I would ever write one myself. That is until I swung the launcher. I am a mid to high handicap golfer who had been hitting the TA'6 for the past year. I really like my TA'6 but I am absolutely head over heals in love with the launchers. They have a huge, very forgiving sweet spot. The launchers are much heavier than most of the other clubs I have tried (callaway, taylormade, and ping)which has increased my distance 6-10 yards. More importantly, the control I have with these babies is unreal. I kid you not, I was hitting jaw dropping shots with them during the very first round I played with them. I'm no stranger to buyers remorse but I'll tell you, the only thing I regret is that I didn't buy these irons sooner. In addition to the great feel, the fact that they were custom fit made a big difference as well.
Cons: Are you kidding me.....not a dang thing.
Quality: The quality is typical for a cleveland product....terrific!

Review Summary: I have bought a lot of toys in my day but none have been more fun to play with than these.

Purchase: Last there was a Cleveland demo day at Santa Clara Golf and Tennis. They had the new Launcher Irons on display for people to try them out. After hitting a couple balls, I was amazed in how far I hit them and good they felt. So I immediately asked the Cleveland guy to fit me. You know, tell me what kind of shaft I need and what lie angle is best for my swing. After all that was over with, They built my clubs in about an hour in their van. Even better, they give you a free wedge of your choice if you buy a set of irons at their demo days. It cost me around $750 including tax of course. It was well worth it and I got fitted for free.
Pros: The irons are really easy to hit and even miss hits will travel a considerable distance. The feel of the club when it makes contact with the ball is very nice and soft.
Cons: The grip is a little rough, but it is probably because I chose the chord grips. I think I will change them with either win grips or just the old fashion twirl grip. I don't know what they are called, but they are the grips that you see on most clubs. The price could have been a little lower, but they are the newest creation in Cleveland log list of exceptional irons, so I can't complain too much. You pay a premium for the newest technology.
Quality: The clubs are put together very nicely and so far I haven't felt anything coming loose at all. We will see what they are like in a few months after many failed attemps of trying to hook my ball around trees and the after math of a club thrown 50 yards because an obvious misconception that I can do anything Tiger can do.

Review Summary: The Launcher irons from Cleveland were a definately needed upgrade to an 18 handycap golfing like myself. I hope in time that these clubs can improve my game, but first I will have to get over the fact that clubs do not change the outcome if one still has the same horrible swing they had before. I can tell you my accuracy has improved and I am hitting the ball on average about 10 yards further than I was with my old clubs. Now all I have to do is upgrade my woods and learn how to put.
