On 2002-09-11, C. Basler rated this Cleveland TA5 Sensicore Steel a 5...(527)

Purchase: I bought these at Golf Discount in St. Louis. I paid $449 for 3-pw and $60 each for the 2 iron, DW, and SW.
Pros: The irons set up nicely and with the slighty shallower face provide nice trajectory. The sensicore steel shafts along with Cleveland's vibration absorption system allow for a softer feel on all shots. I played Hogan Apex Plus irons before these and feelings of shots hit (good and bad) are quite close, although a well struck shot from a forged club will never be duplicated in a cast club. I find the distance very good with this set. The direction of your shots will be corrected somewhat, but not to the point of turning a slice into a fade.
Cons: As the set progresses from the 6 iron through PW, the lofts get stronger. The PW is a 45 degree, which is closer to a 9 iron than a PW. That's why I added the 50 degree dual wedge. The 55 degree sand wedge was also added. If you're looking to buy a new set and want to retain your current sand wedge, you'll need to strongly decide whether you can play with a 45 degree PW and your SW. In my case, the gap in yardage was too great.
Quality: The build quality with the Clevelands is top notch. I've had mine for over a year now. I play 2-3 times a week and they look as good as they did when the came home. (Yes, folks it's amazing what cleaning your clubs during and after a round will do.)

Review Summary: I think this is one of the best set available on the market today. If you're looking for shot correction (not shot improvement) keep looking. These irons will help, but they won't fix bad alignment or bad swings. While Cleveland has some stiff competition, give them a chance, as I think you'll be happy.
