On 2005-10-25, jake0716 rated this Cleveland TA-6 AW 50* a 5...(6342)

Purchase: i ordered this club online for 64.00 with shipping. i wanted and needed a wedge to solidify my game inside 150 yards. without the distance advantage i had before my back injuries dialing in wedges became MUCH more important than before and this club replaced my 5 wood. i wanted a club that matches my set, as mentally that makes it more comforting for me.
Pros: i like everything, and then i like some more. i looked at the cg10 wedges as well as many others, and at the end of the day im SO happy i got the ta-6 50*. its my favorite club in the bag. i can work it, it has a larger clubface for added forgiveness, and i find that even on slight mishits the results are AMAZINGLY good. when hit right, i can dial in to within a couple yards with a nice little draw. i love this club.
Cons: not a thing. at first, i thought the clubhead seemed too big, but if i can work it at will then who cares, right? it just makes the slightly off center hits barely noticeable. it looks good at address, and it performs better than any other wedge i demoed, and i tried titleist vokeys, cg 10's, etc. great club. well done cleveland!!
Quality: outstanding. well made (as usual it seems with cleveland), and great stock r flex steel shaft.

Review Summary: bottom line is there's NO reason in my book to spend 100 bucks or more on the vokeys or cg10's. this club outperforms both (by a wide margin), and it does it at a fraction of the cost. cleveland did such a good job here its hard to see why so many people buy the more expensive wedges. i would HIGHLY recommend the ta-6 50* for anyone looking for a great club that closer resembles the rest of their set (any ta series clubs for sure)

Went to the range yesterday to practice. Took the new 9.5* driver to test it out. I hit it a lot better than I figured I would with that factory insta
