Purchase: I recently purchased a Cloudveil softshell jacket at an exclusive club in Colorado - price point was $225. Had heard about the softshell fabric and in speaking with the retailer, learned that it is highly waterproof but very breathable and travels incredibly well bc it doesn't wrinkle.
Pros: Incredibly comfortable and is seems to be basically waterproof which is amazing as it is a softer type jacket. Huge advantage is that you get the protection of a rain jacket without losing any range of motion/ comfort which normally happens with a rain jacket.
Cons: Only downfall so far is that the pockets sit next to the center zip which I guess is done for backcountry skiing? Looks a bit strange but if you're not a fashionista - actually turns out to be pretty helpful bc they are nice and big!
Quality: Construction and quality is fantastic - Guess Cloudveil is a new company out of Jackson Hole which specializes in backcountry skiing but the fabric is just amazing for golfing (Checked out their website after playing in the jacket and found that out! website is www.cloudveil.com)

Review Summary: Amazing jacket which is great in most conditions including drizzling rain. Great range of motion in it - slightly more expensive but worth it! If you do use their website (cloudveil.com) - I found it a bit confusing but I used the fabric tab to view softshell and that gave me the jacket I bought and other options and pants.
