On 2005-09-21, Big Ben from MD rated this Cobra Deluxe Cart Bag a 5...(6220)
Purchase: Bought this bag online through Golfsmith. They had it on sale plus free shipping so the deal was too good to pass up ($79.98 & free shipping). Plus it matches my Cobra irons. :)
Pros: First and foremost it's just a great looking bag. It sports the traditional black/gold Cobra is known for while not being too flashy or gaudy. It's reasonably light at around 5lbs. yet seems to be built very well and should last quite a long time. Plenty of storage too with more than enough room for anything an average golfer would need to carry. The 5-way top is padded thoroughly so no worries about club/shaft damage whatsoever. Has a intelligently placed towel clip and umbrella holder which will both come in very handy I'm sure. The strap is very nicely padded and sooooper comfy so carrying this bag won't be a burden. The included rain cover also fits perfectly in place and snug so I have no worries if I do ever encounter any rain while out playing.
Cons: Nothing. I dig everything about this bag so far. The only things I might consider worth changing on it are to add full length dividers (only has them front-back, but not side-side; clubs do NOT bang around though so only a minor quibble) and maybe one of those sling-strap systems (I think designed by Izzo?) would be kinda nice, but neither are necessary.
Quality: Top notch! It easily stacks up against all other bags in it's price point. I looked at dozens of different bags over the past month or so & aside from bags costing much more nothing else came close. Review Summary: Bottom Line: The Cobra Deluxe Cart Bag is definitely right up there with any other brand of golf bag out there. Price-wise it's very competitive as-is, but with the deal Golfsmith had going on at this time it was a no-brainer. It's not quite the Cobra Staff bag I had been eyeing up, but then again it's also a LOT cheaper & just as useful. Now I just need to get some more Cobra clubs to help fill it up even more. :)
