Purchase: I won this driver last September at the Prairie Creek Invitation in Rogers, Arkansas. Because of the huge head it looked like a toy (one of thoes big plastic things for a three year old) and refused to even swing it. Besides, I wasn't about to put up with the harrasment I would get from my golf companions swinging this thing that is as big as a tennis racket.
After reading some very impressive reviews in various magazines and on line I thought I'd give it a try - unbelievable. Pros: I'm a 9 handicap, slight build at 5'7 and 57 years old. After hitting only a bucket or two on the range I absolutely couldn't wait to get on the course. The first round with this new club was awesome. Four over, with bogies coming from bunkers that I normally couldn't reach. Cons: The only thing I don't like about this club is that it has cost me my occational playing invitation from one of my neighbors to play Southern Hills here in Tulsa. My last invitation turned in a very respectible 78 on one of the best courses in the world. (The greens are impossible) Eleven of thirteen fairways, 256 yd. average (measured from the sprinklers) With a couple at 280. Quality: High quality, excellent finish, grip was a little soft for my liking so changed to a full cord. Review Summary: Very easy to hit - shaft has a high kick point - excellent control a little hard for me to move right to left but that's probably me.

Purchase: I bought this through golfsmith, paid the suggested retail of $299. Pros: This thing is freakin awesome! I'm used to playing with a Callaway Big Bertha 10.5 degree S2H2. I kid you not, the Cobra added 50 yards to my drive with the same swing. Just make a PASS over the ball and your almost guaranteed a 240 yard drive. I normally drive the Callaway around 225, the Cobra puts me at a consistent 275 even when I don't hit it square. Can't believe this thing is legal. I just bought the whole set of Cobra irons, driver and the offset 3 wood. Even the irons add 15 to 20 yards for every club. If your looking for a lot more distance, it will be hard to beat these clubs. Cons: Driver - Nothing
Irons - Scratch to easy
3 wood (offset) Seems made for a bad slicer, i.e it really goes left, not a hook but with a normal line up I have to aim at the far right side of the fairway to be close to the middle. Quality: Outstanding Review Summary: Love these things, shot my best nine ever (40)second time I played them.
