Purchase: Never purchased this club. I demo'ed this King Cobra L4V-M driver at Roger Dunn in Long Beach, CA. I've read many reviews about this club and wanted to try it out. The club sells for about $399 in stores and online.
Pros: At address, the head size is very huge. Looks much bigger than my TaylorMade R7 CGB Max driver. It actually looks really good at address, giving the impression that it would be impossible to miss the ball. Swinging the club is really easy, and the club itself feels feather light during the swing. Ball flight is high and far with a moderate swing. I had a slight draw, probably due to the 2deg-closed face angle. Ball distance was exceptional with my moderate swing (roughly about 89mph swing speed) and traveled about 240+ yards using the Top-Flite Practice range balls. Did this about 5 times in a row, with one being a pulled shot. I really like the light weight of the club swing. I guess the composite carbon can take credit for that.
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like about this club.
Quality: Being this was a demo club, it had a lot of nicks and scratches all over the face and sole from hackers like myself. I believe the construction quality is very good, if not excellent, in the hands of the purchaser.
Review Summary: Lightweight club makes this very easy to hit and gain some added distance where its needed.
