Purchase: Read the review on these irons and decided to give them a go. I liked them on the range so I placed an order with the local pro shop and sat back and waited. I paid $700 for them and consider it to be the best investment I ever made in my game.
Pros: The heads are fairly substantial which always gives you confidence that you are going to hit the ball. Their design results in a very forgiving club, which is what i was after. I have no problem hitting mid to short irons but my long irons have always been suspect. The forgiving nature of these clubs has improved my long irons quite considerably. The 3 and 4 irons are back in the bag and the 5 and 7 woods relegated to the "spare" bag under the stairs. Since getting the clubs I'm down from 18 to 12 handicap and expect another 2 or 3 strokes drop in the next few months. No lessons, just more confidence.
Cons: The only downside I see with the these clubs is the quality of the materials used and the assmbly. Suppose I should mention that these clubs took 10 yards per club off my distance, but all the additional 10 yards ever did for me was put me further into the trees. Now I'm consistently straight down the middle with only the occasional visit to the foliage.
Quality: Within 3 months of getting the clubs I had 5 damaged grips. The pro shop said it was my fault for not taking sufficient care when putting the clubs into my bag, but my Callaways had lasted four yearrs without any such problem In addition the little plastic hosel plugs which "finish" the point where the shafts go into the heads are all creeping up the shaft. I realise these are mainly cosmetic but its annoying and makes the clubs look cheap.

Review Summary: Good tools for reducing your handicap if you're prepared to put up with the shoddy finish.

Purchase: Purchased at Golfers Warehouse in Hartford Ct. Paid $329. Super price on sale.
Pros: I just like them. They are forgiving and I hit some of the best iron shots every round. I usually get on the green from 150 yrds and in and hit my long irons on or close. They are the best irons I ever owned. I usually shot in the 80's some times a tad under and sometimes a tad over. Too many 3 putts. I am sure there are better irons out there and scratch golfer would need them but for the price these are great irons.
Cons: My only problem is the 3 iron I am very inconsistant with it but hit 4-pw well.
Quality: Good feel and looks and must be constructed well

Review Summary: If you are a mid or high handicap golfer, you should try out the cobra ssi irons.

Purchase: I deceided on the Cobra's after trying every OEM club that would fit my game. I paid $499 at Zion Golf in St. George, Utah. I have been in a slump with my Ping i3's and had read a lot of good things about the clubs. In the final shoot out with Cleveland TA7's and Taylor Made RAC's the Cobras felt better and produced better shots.
Pros: These clubs set up and look good at address which inspires confidence. I have not hit a bad shot yet and the shots go where you aim them. I can't comment on workability because I can't shape my shots that well. They are well balanced and very forgiving. When you hit it pure it feels just like butter but you can also feel mishits.
Cons: The only thing that I am dissapointed with is the distance. It's about a half club shorter than my Ping I3's but shots are more accurate. I can live with that.
Quality: The construction and quality is first rate. The look and finish is understated but classy. A really good looking club that you shouldn't tire of.

Review Summary: I never expect to be a scratch golfer but just like the game and love to play. The Cobras make it fun, take a lot of stress off the game and are the best overall club I've tried. If your not into prestege or having the latest and greatest, I'm sure you will agree the these are the best kept secret for the mid handicap golfer.

Purchase: Received these irons as a gift. However, I know that the cost was $549.
Pros: These irons are extremely easy to hit and have added one club length to my shots. I feel confidence with the clubs and can swing hard yet still feel in control.
Cons: Clubs are not as workable as my previous set, which was the original King Cobra graphite irons purchased in 1995.
Quality: At first, the grips felt a bit larger than what I was used to, but after a couple of rounds, they feel very comfortable. The clubface is esthetically very pleasing to look at and I like the coloring of the graphite shafts.

Review Summary: This is an excellent set of irons. I feel comfortable with all of the clubs, from my 3 iron down to my pitching wedge. I would recommend them for any level of player.

Purchase: I would like to let evry mid handicapper or anyone know for that matter that these are the best set of irons out there for the amateur golfer. I have no fear when I hit these irons. I feel like I will hit the green everytime and it shows in my scores. I have improved anywhere from 6 to 10 strokes. I now shoot consistent low 80's and even break 80 once and a while. I would have never imagined that last year( I was a 90-96 golfer everytime I went out. I paid $350 for this set of irons at a pro shop and it is the best investment I could have made for my game.
Pros: They are consistent, long and just plain feel good. The sweet spot is easy to see and makes hitting the target easier.
Cons: The only drawback is that the factory grips are poor quality. I had my clubs regripped for about $20 and now the clubs are perfect!
Quality: Factory grips are low end. The club face makes hitting that little white ball a pleasure rather than a struggle.

Review Summary: These clubs will make you feel more confident and will improve most peoples game. If I can get off the tee I know I am going to score well because of these irons. My scores have dropped, thats all the proof I need!
