Purchase: Recently went through a complete make-over of my equipment, having played blades since I started playing (30+ years ago). Decided to try some new golf balls, as my home course has recently gone from browns (sand and oil mixture) to synthetic grass (grass is coming, but we have a pretty strict water usage program in Cyprus).
Used to use high compression balls, as getting spin out of a ball on browns was an impossibility, pitch and run was the name fo the game.
With the new greens though, spin is possible
Decided to try a few brands against eachother, one of which was the LoCo Bite. Paid $6.80 for a sleeve of 3 from the pro shop. Pros: For a start they felt a bit harder than some of the other balls I was trying. Having said that, at 85 compression, they are not overlly hard. Pretty long, although not as long as some others (Noodle) I tried. Where they scored though was in direction. They just seemed to stay on the line I wanted. Trajectory tended to be a bit lower than usual for me (I hit high) and their reaction on the greens was first class. Not so much spinning back as checking up after the first bounce. Putting was simply lovely. Front nine I shot a 38 (par 35) which included a 7 at the par 5 4th (greed, pure greed). Ended up with a gross 78, nett 65, thank you very much.
Worked very well of wedges, did notice you have to "pinch" the shot a bit more, but distance control on the short shots was a breeze.
Putting is superb. 10 putts on the front nine, although that has a lot to do with the way the ball reacted on the greens after irons and wedges into the green. Just stayed close to the hole. Cons: No real dislikes, apart from the fact that even for an 85 compression ball, they felt a bit hard. Mind you, with todays developments, I suppose 85 could be considered high compression.
No real problems, but they did feel noticably harder than say the Noodles. Quality: Quality wise they are first class. Marked one a bit with a wedge, but no damage - certainly playable. Should see 2-3 rounds from these balls, before they get consigned to the shag bag. Review Summary: Definately a winner here for Dunlop. Any ball which brings me in 5 under hcp. deserves a place in my bag.
Would I do better with one of the top line balls ???? I don't know. I do know that the LoCo Bite seems to be a good match to my local course, and more than that you can't really ask for.
Will certainly be using this ball more.

Purchase: Ordered 18 pack from Edwin Watts Golf. Pros: Long & straight off the tee. Soft feel off all the clubs, ProVI spin & feel around the greens. Putts true too. Poor Man's ProVI! Cons: There is nothing to dislike about this ball, it's the complete package for me. Quality: Quality construction & good durability. The best value in golf balls I have found in 3 years! Review Summary: This is my Number One ball for any type of play! Great value, Dunlop has made golf affordable again! Purchase: Got them in the Dunlop DDH Butter Soft pack as a free sleeve from WalMart Pros: These have to be the absolute best golf balls on the market. I have always been one to look for cheap in price, high in quality. I just ordered an 18 pk. of these balls from Edwin Watts Golf because I loved them so much. I have never been able to spin the ball, whether the lie be good or bad, now I can stop the ball to within a foot from the pin. Cons: I think they're great, go out and buy a sleeve and you will find that there is nothing to dislike about them Quality: The quality is great. I have the tendency however to smack a few trees which causes damage to any golf ball, but with this ball I find myself hitting it straight down the middle and stopping it on the green with no problem even after hitting a tree and scuffing the ball. Review Summary: This is the bottom line, buy the Dunlop LoCo Bite golf balls. If you are a penny pincher like me you will find that quality comes at an affordable price with this specimen created by Dunlop Golf. Purchase: Dunlop sent me 4 complimentary balls. Paid $0 Pros: Those of you who tried the original LoCo and didn't like the low spin rate need to try these! I don't usually spin the ball much, but these balls keep the divy tool in your hand all day. A friend who plays Pro Vs tried one and promptly tried to con me out of the other three. As soon as he uses up the Titleists he has now he be switching. Cons: Availability in discount stores (Wal Mart, etc.) is spotty Quality: Top notch. A softer feel even than the original LoCo. Review Summary: Forget Noodles, Nxts, Pro Vs. Great distance and as soft as a Balata around the green (yes, I still have a few dozen of those around!) Another winner from Dunlop.
