On 2002-12-31, Greg Cobb rated this Dunlop NP2 I rons - No Problem2 a 5...(885)

Purchase: I purchased these irons at Walmart for $70. I wanted a set of irons with a wide sole and was not willing to pay $800-$1000 for Callaways.
Pros: These irons are great. The 3 and 4 are actually utility woods. The 5-PW are traditional style cavity backs with wide soles and low center of gravity. The first round I played with these irons, I shot five strokes under my normal and broke 80 for the first time. The 3 and 4 are very easy to hit with a low boring trajectory and lots of roll. The other irons are also very easy to hit and don't dig into the turf. I have played many brands including Titleist,PING,and Mizuno with mediocre results. Since I now only get to play once a week, I cannot maintain a consistent swing to hit those brands. The Dunlops have allowed my game to improve with limited ply time.
Cons: The only complaint I have are the Golf Pride Tour Wrap grips that came on the clubs. I prefer a Velvet style wrap and quickly changed the grips. But some may like the the original grips.
Quality: The quality and construction of these clubs is excellent. They do not look like $70 clubs, more like $700. There were no flaws, scratches,or impurfections at all.

Review Summary: If someone is looking for a great set of irons without paying overly inflammed prices, check thes out. I love telling my playing partners(who are playing $1000 name brand clubs) that my irons cost only $70.
